Supermodel Petra Nemcova is engaged to British actor Jamie Belman after a whirlwind eight-month romance, it has been confirmed.
The engagement comes six years after Petra lost her fiancé Simon Atlee during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami while the couple were in Thailand.
Petra and Belman, who spent Christmas with their respective families celebrating their happy news, are 'delighted' to announce their plans to marry.
No date or location have been set for the wedding as yet.

Since the tragic event which claimed her fiancé's life and left Petra in hospital, the Czech-born model has dedidicated herself to helping others affected by the tsunami, and is now President and Chairwoman of the Happy Hearts Foundation which works with the children who survived the disaster.
Talking at a charity event recently, Petra said: 'When the tsunami happened, I wanted to help in any possible way,.'
Shortly after the tsunami, Petra said Atlee's death had taught her to live life to the full every day.
She explained: 'I try to live fully, as Simon always did. He always loved life and lived it every moment.
'I used to work all the time, all the time, and now if there is a wedding, there's a concert, I'm there. It's like, I'm gonna find the time to really be there. So it's different … it's really been wonderful.'
Petra, who previously dated singer James Blunt as well as actor Sean Penn and Kingdom director Peter Berg, was introduced to Belman through mutual friends.
Belman has made a name for himself in various television shows including New Tricks and The Bill.
He is perhaps most well-known for playing Michael Conway in ITV soap Emmerdale last year.
