The gold suit is maybe the best thing i've ever seen coming from this brand...
This is trashy, very Euro-trash and very tacky French Riviera in summer time.

Typical Yatch trash style. Perfect for St Tropez, Cannes and all...

Perfect for St Tropez, Cannes and all...

I've been to St Tropez more than once but I wouldn't really associate this collection with the city. I'd say this is more appropriate for Spain or the UK. Unless you're talking about the Eastern European millionairs living in St Tropez.

I always getting the vibe of those 'tag your sponsor' girls from his collections. Everything looks poorly made and ill fitting. The only decent thing is that Camo Suits that looks like something from Valentino few seasons ago.

Primark realness

It’s amazing that this is successful. I kinda get it, but also getting it makes me so depressed that this is a thing...

Yes that was my point. It’s for the rich millionaires and their young girlfriends showing off their money in St Tropez.
The Chanel resort 2010 was much more close to the St Tropez laidback style.

Eh, the UK????? Come visit us again, love! ;) Do people still vacation in St Tropez? It feels a bit passé. All these island resorts which got their claim to fame from the wealthy and celebs quickly lose lustre when they're no longer in vogue. See Mustique. Anyway I'm a cultural/nature traveller so beach resorts would never top my list to begin with.

This collection is definitely Mallorca, or Ibiza. In-your-face vulgarity. I dunno why Carine must back him so much. I'm with Lola about the suit Marjan (?) appears to be wearing. The rest all seemed ripped from old D&G and Cavalli collections, but withoutvan ounce of wit. Plein is really quite shameless.

I wonder what's the benefit of showing this brand at Cannes. Sure there's your fair share of tacky millionaires, scammers and golddiggers, but does the fashion community actually care about this?

Miharayasuhiro did the camo sheen suit miles better but I can see this all being worn though far from anything I like.

when you like the cast more than the clothes (Hi Eniko!)...
Like seriously, this is so heinous.

I am not sure if they will or would choose Pleins creations, too.
So horrible and looks like a tacky evening-disco-club wear but not resort 2019!!!
Doing this kind of Resort collection and show it during/before Cannes Festival it is a kind of show himself and tell another:"Hi, i'm here!"

Philipp Plein is very popular trhough the german prominence classe C.

Some of them are rather tacky but some few a re cool in that Philip Plein style and work for his target clientelle.
