i saw it twice already! i saw it at midnight on opening night and then tonight. so many of the shows were sold out for it; i think this movie is going to be huge . i loved it and i can't wait for the third one! i think this one was even better than the original.

I just saw it as well! I don't know if I liked it better than the first, but it was definitely very entertaining and funny. Johnny was fantastic as usual. But this movie felt like real ensemble acting... Johnny was the clear star of the first one because of his unique performance. But since this is his second time doing it, everyone else stood out a little more and it was great. And Keira Knightley - I just love her. She was sooooo funny and cute.

I agree that the ending was a little frustrating and caught me by total surprise, but I was soooooooo happy to see one of my favorite characters from the first one return at the end. Woot!!

i, too, saw it twice!! it was just as good the second time around - and i noticed a lot of things that i didn't catch the first time! the special effects are incredible, like Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchmen crew (Bill Nighy's performance was amazing b/c it came through all of that make-up and perfectly molded with the personality he was portraying) - for instance - POSSIBLE SPOILER - in the liar's dice scene, one of the crew has this eel coming out of his stomach and the eel's eating the guy's hand...gross, i know, yet looks so good haha.

it must be hitting the right note with a lot of people b/c the movie broke all kinds of records for the opening weekend. can't wait to see the third one!!!

did you guys notice all the crazy details of the characters - especially the Flying Dutchmen crew? im jabbering about this movie like a 13-yr-old-boy at a comic book store (or a 20-something-yr-old in at a Barney's sale - oh wait that is me haha) but it's so awesome i can't get over it! a friend of mine forwarded me this picture and i don't think there's a better shot that illustrates all the details that went into these characters - like the guy behind Davy Jones who has the hammerhead, i didn't notice that he had another pair of eyes on the side of his head!!!

i wanna freeze every other frame to see what else i've missed - perhaps a third viewing??

haha too cute!! i don't know about talking during movies but in this case i would've def been all about hearing what he had to say about all the different sea creatures! what were his comments about how they looked?

also, sorry about my prev post - don't know what happened to that photo. but i found another one that actually shows the eel scene i was talking about earlier - creepy!!
