Pixies

I am frankly happy that their style is not contrived, like many bands in existance today. For example, the Like may perhaps only have a hype because of the way they style themselvse. Its like, hey lets gather a group of fashionistas and give them some guitars and see where it takes them. the Pixies collected a gathering due to their unique sound, all i was pointing out is that they arent the first band i would become a groupie for haha

Sorry if any one thought I was picking on on their style- i was just commenting on the fact that, unlike some bands, their appeal is based on their music rather than a image. And that is a good thing.

Aparrently, they were hanging out a house across the road from me a few weeks ago- imagine how confusing it would be for my little brain been if looked out my bedroom window and seen the Pixies! (I am in Tasmania)

^Let me pick on their style.:D I love those bands that can pull a look together and create a sound and vision experience that you cannot forget. That, Pixies will not do for me...but they're still great, just not as great as those few who pull of both sound and vision.

Favourites - Gouge away and Tame.

I think part of making it BIG in rock n roll is about the image, for sure. Both the Rolling Stones and the Beatles had their own defined image, which probably added to the appeal to the band. However, I can love bands for their music alone (Pixies) but i have no respect for bands that are all about the image (Sex Pistols).

SO cute!!

I love their music!
I love:
Gouge away, Hey(fave), Here comes your man, La la love you, Monkey Gone to heaven (another fave), Velouria, Cactus (love it), Levitate me (another fave)

I probably like all

Seeing them perform Dolittle live (twice within a 30-hour period, no less!) was one of the best things I've ever experienced. Their music means so freakin' much to me, it's insane. Hearing "No. 13 Baby" in concert is quite possibly my new favorite life moment. And they sound better than ever, in my opinion.

Also, Kim Deal is so cool. I want to have a sleepover with her and paint her toenails or something. Yeah, that's not creepy or anything...

I squealed like a little girl when they played "Planet of Sound" and "Break My Body" as encores. I think if they would've done "Alec Eiffel" or "Rock Music," my head would've exploded in a burst of glitter confetti. *swoons*
