Please Help Me With My Homework/Research/Survey

Maybe it would make it easier if you compare her to someone already living. Like Jil Sander. There are a lot of articles on her, you can really get a sense of how she makes her decisions. Everything is tied together for her. Why her home is designed the way it is, the way she dresses, the way she designs her clothes and stores and offices. They all have reasons.
Sometimes it's the personality that influences one's taste, appearance, and sometimes it's the environment and lifestyle that influences.

How old are her children? Maybe the younger they are, the less time she has to herself?

What's her job like. Does she have to travel often? Does she go out into the wild to do research or does she conduct interviews with people who are in the field. How passionate is she about her work?

Is her girlfriend working too? Who gets the groceries? Who does the laundry?

The busier or more stressful life gets, the more things she throws out of the window. The more she focuses on only the most important things. If looks aren't important, then...

just say she dresses like Jil Sander. Very minimal and professional.

^edit: oh already said Jil. Guess I am on the late bus.

Maybe something like Rosie O'donnell? Or it could always be an up-scale chic lesbian.

Empire style

Hello, I am doing a research for the history of costume class =))
Do designers use empire style? Alberta Ferretti, John Galliano for Christian Dior, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, who else? I need only 2005-2010 collections.
Thanks

Prada for fall last year ('10)
The specific area is emphasized throughout the whole show but several looks, would also add in a natural waist.. looking more like bustier

Hello everyone!

I need someone who's close enough to the shoe-making sphere to give me a comment on Chelsea boots. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi all! So my admission assignement came out yesterday for university and I thought I'd ask some help from You. The question is:

The consumer is changing to must-marketing. It is often said that consumers are changing in terms of their needs, expectations & buying behaviour. Identify the ways you believe consumers are changing and how does marketing need to react to meet the challenges resulting from these changes?

Guys, I need your help, if you can please tell me where can I find some articles about US Vogue's sales, which issue was best-selling, worst-selling, best/worst year for magazine. I need it for presentation about Vogue and any kind of help will be appreciated.

I would think that maybe Vouge or Conde Nast might be the best source for that ... they must have that information and I'm sure they provide it to potential adversiters and investors. A long shot, I know ... to be able to get them to release that information to you. But, most of that is public, so I'd try their PR, Ad Sales and Investor Relations departments to see if they have any statisics about this that they release. I'd look around the coporate web sites first ... sometimes it's there, then if it's not, then I'd call Vogue Headquarters and ask for numbers for each of those departments.

Start here .... see if you can get a Media Kit: http://www.condenastmediakit.com/vog/contact.cfm

I'm writing a 5+ page paper about controversiality in fashion photography (ed and ad) and I have yet to figure a way to link the "base" (general knowledge on racism, politics, feminism, environment...) with the "top" (how it's seen as controversial in fashion photography). Im submitting this as a sample writing to college and since I dont have to write papers at high school, Im inexperienced with this.

Please help.

Scan through the Fashion ... In Depth forum ... where similar things are discussed. You might find some ideas to expand upon in your paper. There is a thread about Racial Diversity in Modeling, one about Controversial Editorials (for various reasons), one about Feminism & Fashion, for example. And in The ETC's of the Modeling World, there is a thread about the fashion industry promoting "Size Zero" as a standared size for models.

You can use some of this things you listed in a seach for thread titles ... and you might find a lot more threads about each of these topics in various places around tFS. However, be aware that we can not discus politics on tFS, but may touch upon it in only one place, the Fashion ... In Depth forum and only if it's stricly related to a fashion issue.
