Pleated Skirts F/W 10.11

^^pleated skirts have definitely been around forever but they're having a bit of a renaissance this season...
designer's are breathing new life into the style...

mullet i know what you mean about that ferragamo look...
my first instincts were that the skirt was incredible but for myself i would definitely love a shorter version...
there's something about the pleats when done in leather and the colors and movement of that skirt in particular that i think is really beautiful..

and i also have to kind of agree about pollini! when i was looking at the collection i was initially very skeptical but kept going back to certain looks and finding things that i liked.. so maybe it was a bit of a success after all and a good thing that i looked like low (to no) expectations

i feel like i'm going to rummage through my closet to see if i have anything with pleats in it now

^ I love that look.. the proportions are not my cup of tear but a lighter top (in the same safari style) and shorter leather skirt would look so good..

and.. Pollini's suddenly looking amazing, what happened there!.

*a lot of these skirts are not pleated, but i'm not going to quibble, it's not important...
what i would say is that i think there are a lot of pleated tops around as well- and i think that 'pleating' overall is the trend...
not just skirts...

I have never been a fan of pleated skirts, but the proenza schouler are very nice.

I think with mini pleated skirts you need to be careful not to wear them with anything stereotypically 'naughty schoolgirl' slash 'cher from clueless' slash tacky halloween costume...

I have a Burberry novacheck pleated skirt that I love but for the above reason dont wear it much...
