Comment & Watch Live... The 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
so one more year of polaroid and then no more, right?
Fiji will still be making instant film. However, since people think Polaroid when they think instant film, the Polaroid people should seriously license out their name or something and have someone else make their film if they really want the money.
^^^^FUJI! OHHHHHH!!! Everybody knows Fuji, lol!
I was like "why is Fiji going to make film....random"![]()

Pack Film Continues in March!
We have received confirmation from two independent sources that Polaroid has reached an agreement with a third party manufacturer and will re-introduce three peel-apart pack films in the coming months!
Is Polaroid film saved? Not entirely, as most of you who have filled out our survey have indicated that integral film (600/Spectra/Time Zero) is your film of choice. But we at SavePolaroid.com are very excited about this step in a positive direction.
An enormous thanks to Sander Beenen (flickr: polaroidium) for his diligence in extracting this info from Polaroid, and much thanks to Phil Smith at the UK store Richard Frankfurt Photographic for backing up Sander’s findings via email.
Here’s a clip from the internal Polaroid memo:
“Although plans for some products are still being defined, it’s now confirmed that 3 of [Polaroid’s] most popular peel-apart film products will be available from early 2009. The types available will be T125i colour gloss (100 ISO), T667 black & white (3000 ISO) and T664 black & white (100 ISO). Availability of all three types may initially be limited, but it is anticipated that all will be freely available by the end of March 2009.”
We’re especially intrigued by the “some products are still being defined” part of the memo…
We will do our best to bring you the latest information about this and any other developments as soon as we can confirm them as fact.
Fujifilm Instax coming to the USA?
The website insideanalogphoto.com is reporting that Fujifilm is considering the import of its Instax line to the USA starting in 2009.
In an audio interview with IAP host Scott Sheppard, Kayce Baker from Fujifilm USA states that the company is looking into the importing of Instax to the States, which would be available in stores on New Year’s Day. As of this moment, Instax is available elsewhere in the world; but the only option for US photographers to use the camera and film was to purchase online (e.g., eBay).
“Fujifilm is here to say that we’re here,” she says in the interview, to those who are lamenting the discontinuation of Polaroid’s instant products—for artists, hobbyists, and those who use instant film for more practical purposes (e.g., insurance, law enforcement). “We have solutions for them.”
On an unrelated note, Baker also elaborates on Fujifilm’s packfilm options, as well as tips on how to do emulsion lifts and transfers with FP-100C, their colour peel-apart packfilm.
