Polaroids/Digitals

:ninja: Sorry girls. You might be nice persons, but I don't like your modelling skills :/

:flower:
Nothing against them personally :)

I agree but not to the point of saying sorry:blush: All models get different reactions from the public......good models should have tough skins and not let it bother them, when they are not right for one, they will be right for another.
And when I say something about Supreme, it is not about them personally......it is about the image.

i'm sure these supreme models (like all others, too) are used to hearing people's opinions on their modeling good or bad, so i doubt they'd get too cheesed off at a couple of forum-goers' remarks.

hah, should've read paws' second post. oops!

at least now you know i've got the same opinion about it.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm just sick and tired of people generalizing the girls according to the agency. Stick to the individuals I say since this is a polaroid thread and don't be biased because of the agencies they're with. Thats just MY opinion.

That sounds good in theory, but Paul Rowland/Supreme has made sure to make all his polaroids of his models look very similar, therefore really not making them all that individual (not all but some). So people will group them together. And it does seem that this is only done with the Supreme Agency.

^All agencies have a distinct style for their polaroids. Just look at DNA. Look at Premier.

People just notice the Supreme polaroids more, so obviously they're acheiving the goal they set out to.

Oh for sure! Supreme certainly gets noticed. Some positive, some negative. But I think Paul Rowland style is so different than every other agency. I would call his style distinct and every other agency....run of the mill:lol:

I think Supreme's formula works, if you don't want the run of the mill model, go to Supreme but it might also be a curse. The good thing about Supreme is that those girls are 5'10" and over!

Sorry...in my post I meant the run of the mill polaroids....not girls! The other agencies also have fantastic models! I think Supreme's formula is working also, I just personally don't like the style of the polaroids.

His intentions aren't to group us together. He has a certain taste he fluctuates between every season or so. Last time we were jumping around in moccasins, doing whatever we wanted. This time it's more up close and personal and grungy for mood. We're not grouped in the clients' eyes, I can assure you of this. If that were the case we'd all be at the same castings and doing the same jobs.

:flower: I loved the polaroids with the moccasins.

That's fantastic. But what I meant was the members on this thread seem to group all his models together because he does make his polaroids look similar. And the members seem to do only this with the Supreme Agency. And I would'nt doubt for a minute about the way Supreme does things. Paul Rowland would'nt be at the top if he did'nt have a plan.Oh and just for the record, it's only the style of the polaroids I don't like. Some of Supreme's models are my favorites...and I know that they all are different and all go for different kinds of jobs!!

dude, just stop...hole is getting deeper and deeper. So let's just move on to polaroids.
And I do not mean to surpress your opinion in any way. I'm just saying that I was wrong to begin this whole 'Supreme battle" on a Polaroid thread.
My bad. PM me if you want to discuss further. ;)

O.O I leave you all alone for one day and this is what I return to?! *shakes fist*

well then. Let's move on...

I think the reason I never liked Supreme was because of what I heard about the agency and moreso the bookers. If that stuff is true, then I darn right hate Supreme and nothing will change my opinion in the future... I guess I shouldn't believe everything I hear, but I sure do hope those rumors are not true. If they are just that, rumors, then I have nothing against the agency. :p

That said, I don't really think the old polaroids were very flattering, and the dirty look he projects is not my personal favorite... not my taste in fact, but I did like the jumping series for creative purposes. Also, to be perfectly honest, I think these new ones are much more flattering and serve the traditional polaroid purpose in showing the girls' potential. Much better than the older series. :innocent:

But I stand by what I originally said about the new website. :judge: It's pretty but it's too slow.

And I guess we are FAAAR off topic... so back to the polaroids we know and love (or don't love, whatever floats your boat).:flower:

^^ Yeah the new site is now hosted on a different server and I informed them of how deathly slow it was
agent: what do you mean?
me: the bandwidth it consumed made me want to chuck my laptop at the wall.
agent: oh... I'll uhh.. look into that
lol

ps. [cowers from julz] sorryyy! lol
