Cameron Russell's editorial has Bruce Weber vibes..not in a good way. Regardless, there are enough nice shots to pull it back round. Actually seems like a strong issue - the Camilla Akrans edit in particular has some breathtaking images.

Cameron Russell's editorial has Bruce Weber vibes..not in a good way. Regardless, there are enough nice shots to pull it back round. Actually seems like a strong issue - the Camilla Akrans edit in particular has some breathtaking images.

So true! I think that's why I'm not completely sold on it, as cute as she looks.

I think this so far, this issue seems a tremendous upgrade from what we've been getting over the past few months from Porter. The problem is editing oversight to lump two 'voyeuristic' style edits in one issue. And anyway, I thought we settled that Van De Wijngaard is the best new photographer to capture these type of edits? It's still a nice mix of edits. Vogue Germany did a similar edit to Emma Tempest's, similar pieces but with more vibrant colours. Must say I quite prefer the muted version here.

Seems like an interesting enough issue - certainly in comparison to what else is out there for September. But as much as I like Cameron, I can't help wishing Sophie Turner had got the cover instead.

Indeed, that Sophie cover would have been better, feels more fresh.

although let's be honest nothing has really topped some of the stunning covers from before like when they Shot Daria Werbowy for the Fall Issue 2 years ago...

Now that was a terrific issue, Daria is one of the greatest models and she did two very different eds and nailed them both. I was very happy when I got that issue. I also really loved the first issue with Gisele on it.

I want to love Akrans's ed because I love her but I cannot stand Ruth Bell, she is such a bad model.
Cameron's ed doesn't really impress me nor does the rest of the content.
