Ports 1961 S/S 2023 Milan

So good!
Quite reminiscent of Phoebe’s Celine but much more subtle and balanced than…Jil Sander.
Great, simple, timeless…The type of clothes we can never get tired of.
I would remove two looks and that’s all. Templer is doing his thing.

I actually really loved this, simple, timeless, beautifully presented etcetera etcetera.

If this wouldn't be made by Karl Templer I would actually suggest they should hire a stylist. Boring.

I think it's maybe his best collection for the brand, although it still simultaneously suffers slightly from a lack of identity (as with every Ports collection so far) and recalling elements from past collections that Templer worked on, namely most Sacai collections and Hilfiger S/S 2013. However everything looks chic and desirable, and each look is perfectly accessorised, which is no surprise coming from the man who is (was?) the world's best stylist.

Ports definitely has that stylist's touch to everything. All the things Templer has worked with he has pulled his favourite components from them to use for the collections. Nothing wrong with it, makes the collections very easy, approachable, timeless, chic albeit a little soulless. I like it for what it is, and great to see a collection that is concise, to the bought, presented simply and isn't attempting to be more than it is.

Hopefully Templer and Meisel don't do another studio shoot for the campaign for this. This feels like it needs to be shot in the open outdoors because there's a sense of "travel" to this collection.

The muumuus and the frankenknitwear are awful, the rest is acceptable but still rather bland. The way I see it, his Sacai “homages” are the strongest point of the show.
