ahhrg .. when i look through this thread and see all this beautiful earrings i really regret that up to now i haven't been brave enough to get holes in my ears too (haha, that sounds creepy but i don't know how to translate)

Almost all of my earrings put together. I threw a lot away, because they were damaged. When we moved to this house someone dropped a box. The Vivienne Westwood earrings (orb drop) are included in the picture, but don't look as nice as they do IRL.

My most precious ones are the golden earrings. I do not wear them anymore, because I'm not too fond of gold, but I do cherish them.
The ones with the bow and coin were my first earrings ever.
The rings with the black stones were for my 5th birthday and the drop earrings with the flower and red stone were made for me when I became 13. It seemed like a trend back then to have drop earrings with stones; either black, red, green or blue.These were special because I got 3 stones, instead of four and the stones have different heights. Also, the flower on top was original. Still love it. Gifts from my (late) father.
The other ones are half white gold, half yellow gold and I got them from my ex boyfriend.

^Lovely One thing I treasure about jewelry is when I bring something out to wear, it reminds me of whomever gave it to me, or a time when I bought something for myself, etc. I really love the bow/coin ones

^thank you I have the exact same. I tend to wear some jewels on days where I feel I might need extra luck, because I got/bought them on a good day.
There are also some I usually wear when I don't feel that well..
Behind every piece is 'something'.

i switch between princess cut diamond 1cttw studs or chanel logo rhinestone studs. kind of boring so i didn't bother with a pic.

but i collect old jewelry and this is my favorite earring design ever...circa 1955 silver & garnet by midcentury designer ed wiener (nyc & p-town). (photo by me)
