not that anyone cares, but i have to mention this anyway: i just noticed right now from looking at the above runway photos of the boots that the lacing/design of the boots are slightly different IRL: the adjustability of the laces only goes down half way. the rest of the laces halfway down through the bottom have fixed laces, meaning i can't pull them out and expand the boots further width-wise. the tongue of the boots only goes halfway down too. that kind of sucks how they change the runway/campaign versions, but i know like many runway shoes (like lanvin cone heels, etc) the commercializes versions can be quite different. oh well. i just had to point this out.

i was at the prada store in soho today looking at the skirts exhibit.

the patent shoes do come in different heel heights, but the higher ones are rare.

they had the bright pink with a really gorg 4 inch heel, maybe 4.5.
they are much more sophisticated looking with the high high heel, imo.

seeing_double - Neiman Marcus has those if you are interested. but not in the 5" heel version that you see in the mag. otherwise the prada NYC boutique defintely has the pink patent ones.

I reeeeeeaaaaally want the x-strap magenta ones. I wish I could get the hgiher ones but I doubt it.

I just measured mine-4.2 inches. They seem higher though.
I wore them last week and got a lot of compliements. They are quite exquisite. The only problem I had with them is I saw one the leather on the left heel peeled off. Nothing quite major and is fixable but I dont know how it happened. It is hard to keep shoes the way they are when first bought walking around the city

Ok i know the thread was started in april but already the whole patent phase is so overworked at the moment. This is partly because companies like primark just totally rip the idea and flood the market.Oh well!Any1 else agree?
