Prada S/S 2025 : Carey Mulligan, Harris Dickinson, Liu Wen, & Nikita Gnetnev by Steven Meisel

Both the Men's and Women's campaigns are awful.
The Carey thing looks like a mock drag queen look book, and Meisel has managed to drain every last drop from Harris Dickenson, which should be impossible for a gay photographer. So congrats to Steven for finally pushing himself.

We reached the point where Meisel (or his assistant shot it under his name) produced something looks like Collier Schor works

Oh god the background, when Meisel lost the magic, from what you can see he only does it for money because lately everything looks very amateurish

Those images of Liu Wen are atrocious. You'll often hear me defending Steven Meisel until the cows come home but even I am to admit this is... not good. There's just no life to the campaign whatsoever, and everything just feels so static, one-dimensional, and flat.

It feels like he really doesn’t care anymore. He only puts out decent or great work when he’s actually excited about the clothes and models, and the face retouching he’s been doing for the past decade is something else—and not in a good way.

Those new shots are completely unnecessary. They’re lookbook pictures and nothing more. The campaign with Carey was sufficient enough. They don’t need anything else.

It’s genuinely so bad that i actually have to check PRADA IG to see if thry actually credit Meisel for those Liu Wen pics. I am far from his die-hard fan but even i have hard time to believe such a legend like him produce those pics 😬
