I did initially try and find a cheaper option before I bought the Prada ones. I tried cutting up grey tights and everything - it just wasn't the same. Plus the Prada ones are 100% silk knit - would be v. hard to find. You could try grey nylon stockings.

^ Silk knit sounds so comfortable. I've also been trying to find cheaper options, but nothing looks the same. Is the prada stockings warm? I live in a pretty cold area, and they might be benefitial

^They are warm if you wear them over tights. It's a very thin knit... I think they work in both winter and summer depending on how you wear them.

I tried looking online at niemans, saks, etc. and so far nothing. I think you might have to check the Prada store.

according to British mag Grazia, Peter Jones' schoolwear department is the place to get Prada-alike grey ribbed tights - which you can either wear as is or cut into knee highs, presumably. the writer was apparently tipped off by Prada press.

HI! Just wonder if anyone can tell me where I can get these stockings from? Tried Prada bond st and sloane st, and Harrods. Even tried Neiman Marcus and Saks. Sold out everywhere!!!

Is there any other place where I can get the socks from?!

i love those stockings but my wallet cannot afford the $80-$90 they're going for. i'm thinking about buying a look-alike from http://www.sock-dreams.com. i haven't quite picked a pair out from there yet, but there are lots of options!
