last three posts have redeemed thea and justin. love the blues and the constellation patterns in swarovski...and it's the first time in seasons they've used satin and have used it strongly. previous seasons, that material was such a weak attribute.
i really think the surface manipulation is their strength. and it's about time we've seen them do it again. only i wish it were their former recyclable manner but it's a beginning,i feel.
i just realised what some of this reminds me of visually....the combination of those shades of blues and the constellation patterns....like sea princesses in iceland or northern alaska or somewhere in scandinavia when it's dark all the time....would've been even more beautiful if they included some shades that reminds one of the shimmering, pulsating shades of aurora's.
the textiles look nice but i feel like preen literally presents the same shapes season after season. Other than their color palettes I can't tell the seasons apart...
I think Preen, especcially this season, is deliberately defiant. Even the models didnt stand to pose at the end of the catwalk... they just quickly turned in a powerful "I dont give a..." way. Preen will do its own thing, and thats the beauty of it.
