Price of Nippon Vogue

Newbie here. My first post. I live in the United States (Hawaii to exact). Barnes and Nobles here sells Nippon Vogue for $19.99. I know it must cost more to import it from Asia....but I didn't think it would be that much!!! The japanese cover price is 680 yen which translates to only about $6.15 American. Has anyone in the US been able to obtain issues of NV for a less inflated price? Hope someone can help me? =)

the price of nippon vogue in japan is 10-12 $ foreign mags are always more expensive if u still don`t know this
so it`s normal price for US

Yes it is expensive to import any magazine from japan and europe indeed. =( Just wanted to know if it was sold in the US for less than what Barnes and Nobles is charging.

It'd be too expensive to import them from Japan....I'm afraid you'll have to buy from Barnes & Noble.

post services from nppon is the most exxy in the world just because in Japan all is expensive( but honestly-they`re the greatest-not like in US of europe )
u could look for the better price of course cause i think in official store the price is more expensive

Same here. In france, Vogue Nippon and Vogue China cost 15€, Vogue Paris costs 4.7€, UK Vogue 7.9€, US Vogue 6€, German Vogue 7€, Vogue Italia 6€, Vogue Australia 6.95€, Vogue Russia 9€, Vogue España 7.3€ and Vogue Portgual 6.5€

I have been able to buy Vogue Nippon consistently for $9.70 at this Japanese bookstore a few blocks from my house.

I also buy Elle japon, and even some Korean magazines for less than $10.00.

I am in San Jose, CA.

Vogue Nippon cost me about $8.6 US dollars here in HK....
but sometimes, Vogue France or Vogue IT can cost me about $16 US dollars!!!!!!

You should find out if there is a Japanese Bookstore in your local area!
In L.A. I had two places that I could get Japanese magazine for cheap prices!!

I`m in your situation too...instead of Japanese magazines.....its American magazines for me.....here in Japan....US VOGUE is about $13-14 if u coverted into USD!! Umm....the most expenisve one is MARIE CLARIE.....cost about Y 17000!! Thank GOD for foreign subscriptions....I paid steep $$$ USD for subscriptions to LUCKY, US VOGUE, & MARIE CLAIRE!! I`m too poor for HB and W for now!!

I try to provide our Vogue with reasonable price, this store may be good when you
want to collect Vogue Nippon.
But shipping cost very high due to the heaviness of the magazine.
I understand $19.99 is unfair to you but I think it is because of international shipping cost,
not the magazine itself.

Likewise here in Japan, US vogue is sold at 1000-1500yen when its cover price is $3.00.
3000yen for Italian vogue (its cover price 7 euros around).

every month i buy china vogue and nippon vogue that is 30 euro together ! But they are great magazines and i need to have them. But it is crazy 15 euro each !! I can also buy nippon marie claire and that is only 7 or 8 euro, i think that is very strange !

The only store where I've seen Vogue Nippon on sale was in Dublin, and due to Ireland slapping sales tax on magazines, the cost was astronomical - around £12. My only alternative was to contact the London branch of OCS (the Japanese magazine distributor) which was able to send me Vogue Nippon and Elle Japon, but even then, the price was around £7-9 per issue. And that was a few years ago, so no doubt the price has risen further since then. Though I cannot fault the customer service of OCS, which every Christmas, used to send me a world map/calendar which had Japan at the centre of the world, a nice counterpoint to forever having the UK in the same place.
