Though the dress is really not to my taste (too much going on, and I particularly don't like the satin hem), I think it suits her theme and she looked great. Extra props that it's a vintage dress which the Queen wore to the 1962 premiere of Laurence of Arabia.

I think the dress suits Beatrice and looks lovely on her though I do agree about the satin hem. I can't tell from the original photograph or the Queen but I wonder if the dress originally had the hem. Perhaps the dress was damaged somewhat and the hem is a repair.
