Princess Mette-Marit of Norway

She is so pretty imo. I love her blond hair and blue eyes, she symbolizes a beautiful Norwegian woman to me and a great example for Norway. I hope we get more pictures of her!

^ I love that burgandy dress with the necklace.

Mette-Marit dresses way older than she is and that purple suit is just bad. Also, with her body type she shouldn't wear high waisted belts. I wish she would wear trendier clothes sometimes. Just because she is a princess doesn't mean she's dead.

It appears that Princess Mette-Marit has sensible no-nonsense approach to fashion. Norway has many fine fashion designers. I wish that Princess Mette-Marit was a little more adventuresome. It is difficult to appear chic and stylish when you are not a size 2. However, her evening gowns can be quite stunning.

her hair colour is her best feature imo, together with her blue eyes. she looks very regal without trying.

^ I agree about the evening gowns. But Princess Maxima is not a size 2 either and wears more interesting clothes. And I'm sure Norwegian designers would make clothes especially for Mette-Marit's size just so she will wear them. I don't see too many excuses for her wearing boring clothing but that's just my opinion.

I think MM improved lots in her fashion choices. However, sometimes she looks too matronly and the way she portrays herself, her posture are not ideal.

Ashcottmanor, I agree with you regarding Princess Maxima. It seems as if Princess Mette-Marit has simpler tastes or perhaps she is trying to make a statement. Maybe Norway’s economy is suffering and she chooses her wardrobe with a budget in mind. I think that it is a mistake for the wife of a crown prince to adopt frugal approach when choosing her wardrobe. Every country has a fashion industry to support and promote. How many people worldwide know the names and fashion houses of Norway? Princess Mette-Marit could help in this way. Just a thought.:innocent:

^ I agree with that too, that's basically what I was saying. Mette-Marit doesn't have to buy Gucci, Prada or Cavalli all the time but to wear something that suits her and is maybe a little more "colorful/attractive" from Norwegian designers in her country. It would make her look better and give their designers a higher profile which will boost their country! Killing two bird with one stone, if you will... :)

I think her style is horrible..I think she is trying to be stylish but she fails..I mean you can't just put on something by a great designer and expect it to give you style. But I guess she's a nice girl..my cousin use to date her or something

She's one of my favorite royal princesses out there, I met her @ the Toronto Aids conference few yrs back with some friends. She's very humble and approachable.

Her fashion sense has improved greatly, even though I prefer some of her casual looks. I gotta say though, at lease her style is not as abhorrent as Princess Maxima who dresses more like a mafia wife than a future queen.

Mette Marit does recycle a lot and her choices might not always be the best but they dont scream out like Maximas outfits. Mette Marit doesnt wear much color and tends to play safe with blacks and greys which sometimes is a bit too much. If you look at her style, you will find some lovely pieces but sometimes mixed wrongly with another piece.

I loved how she dressed when she was first dating and then married to Haakon, her style seemed much more young and free. There were two ball gowns she wore right before she got engaged that were fantastic. One was brown with a pink flower and the other was pink. I had high hopes for her style then.
