Proenza Schouler F/W 12.13 : Meghan Collison by Alasdair McLellan

Such a perfect duo - Meghan and Alasdair. It looks great so far.

For its Fall campaign, Proenza Schouler called up one of its favorites from the ranks. “We wanted to focus this season’s campaign on the Proenza Schouler girl,” Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez said. “It was more about an attitude than anything else.” Few girls bring the PS attitude better than Canada-to-Bushwick transplant Meghan Collison, who’s been a mainstay of the duo’s runway shows. (She closed Fall’s.) Alasdair McLellan shot the new images, styled by Proenza Schouler runway stylist Marie Chaix. They’ll appear in select Fall fashion issues, including Love’s (out now), and debut this week on ProenzaSchouler.com

Love it.
Can't wait for the Best 5 Campaigns of the Season thread :shifty:

this is far better than last season w/ natasha w/c was so bad.

I really tried to like this but I still can't.. the textures and silhouettes are rightfully emphasized in black and white but it sacrifices the palette, which was beautiful on the show. There's also the bed hair on the show, which added a bit of nonchalance to such strong looks, and it's been replaced by the most horrific version of it: going to bed with wet (non-braided) hair and waking up like this, with clean but miserable-looking hair.

Waste of Alasdair and Meghan.. it could've gone even better than their F/W 2010 campaign by Daniel Jackson..

I don't know why but she reminds me of Stephanie de Monaco in her music video 'Ouragan'.

I would of preferred to of seen Willy Vanderperre lens this campaign, I feel he works better in B&W than McLellan, I do however prefer the location shots to the studio counterparts, they seem to fit the collection far better.

Oh, this is perfection. After closing the show during fashion week, I had no doubts that Meghan was ideal for the ad campaign. There's something just so striking about it. Yes, the styling is on point and I was initially a bit disappointed that the campaign didn't feature any color whatsoever, but I'm actually quite pleased with the black and white. It emphasizes the somber feeling the images are conveying.

Meghan fits the brand perfectly. Her pictures emanate the right kind of attitude for Proenza. But in comparison with the other PS campaigns, the logo placement in this one is rather unfortunate.

Besides LOVE, are these ads running in any of the september issues of magazines yet?
