Proenza Schouler Handbags - the PS1 et al

^ I've been tossing out catalogs tonight, and I noticed a suede PS1 (I assume it's tobacco) was featured in Barneys' catalog ...

Probably leather is going to be more versatile, last longer, and be easier to clean, if that makes you feel better :flower:

thank you :flower: i'm going to see if any place still has the medium grey leather in stock

i wear my chartreuse alot more than i thought i would...
today i'm wearing it with a grey sweaterdress and snakeskin print lace up booties...

you can't really wear it with dark denim though because the color will transfer to the back of the bag...

they have a chartreuse one at barneys sf (as well as pochette)...^_^

^you made an amazing purchase Kimair, i love love LOVE the PS1 in that colour. Nevertheless, i'm a bit surprised/freaked out by the fact that the colour of the denim transfers to the bag  You mean the colour of the denim could (sort of) stain the bag?

^^^with lighter color bags that hit your hip area, esp. bags with longer straps, the color from the jeans could stain the back of the bag. It happened to me with my white Mayle billie bag. The denim put denim stains on the bag where it hits my hip :(

The same thing happened to my Chanel red lambskin.

I was too careless with it, though. I should have quit wearing it with dark jeans as soon as I noticed the slightest sign of discoloration. And now the denim stain has red wine and mayonnaise stains to keep it company. :ninja: All thanks to a drunken night in Germany.

^ Perhaps you can just consider it evidence of a life well lived ;) What would life be without mayonnaise, after all? :p

^

yea, the dye in the denim can transfer onto the back of your bag if it's rubbing against the jeans for a while...
i only had mine like that for my commute into work, and noticed some blue...
i used some lovin' my bags cleaner (which i have for my balenciaga bags) and got it off, but you need to do it right away...

i don't get the croc version. the bag is so simple, so understated, relatively obscure, but the pricetag spells none of that.

^ What could be more expensive than understatement ;)

I do love the brown croc, it's gorgeous ...

Very true. And you're right... every time I look at that bag I'm reminded of one of the best nights of my life. So all in all, the stains were worth it.

kimair- Thanks for the tip on Lovin' My Bags products. It's good to know for future reference. :flower:

Does anyone know what colors they have at Barneys? I planning to go to NY in a few days, and i just want to narrow it down to one color!

Leyla: I went on the website you posted and apparently the have size small! odd....

^ Yeah, the sizing is weird. Some places label the bags as Large Poncho, Large and Medium, while others label them as Large, Medium and Small. I think the former is more correct, though.

mlaure,
the sizing is very strange that is why i wouldnt personally buy online unless i can see the actual picture of the bag that i will receive in zoom :)

Thats why i'm going to N-Y to see the bag live, before i make any decisions...plus Barneys in N-Y doesnt have the medium in black anymore:( It was my top color (because that all i wear)

^ I can understand why you would want to see the bags in person. Unfortunately there aren't any stockists in my area, so my only option is to order online. I'm pretty sure the black medium on Barneys and Net-a-Porter is the size I want, though. I think I'm going to order it this weekend.

One thing you could do is measure the bags at Barneys and compare them to the measurements listed online so you can get the color you really want. :flower:
