Essie's newest line Buckle Up! Has a purple shade called Huckle Buckle. It caught my eye in the advertisement but on essie's website it looks a bit different.

I just bought "Milano" by Mavala.. unfortunately it's not a striking purple colour as I had hoped.. it's more like soft eggplant.

Does anyone know how to make purple nail polish stay on without chipping?! I've been wearing it on and off for about 5 years now, trying soooo many diff. brands including Mac and O.P.I. and none of them lasted more than a few hours without chipping! Last sunday I went for a manicure and took my O.P.I. polish for them to use and it was all major chipped by the next day! I'm getting so frustrated! Even my black polish lasts longer than that! Grrrrrrrr!

that's so strange...
the color itself shouldn't have so much to do with the chipping..

the only thing i can suggest is top coat.. or maybe more top coat if you're already using it?

IMO, Essie's nail polishes are the longest-lasting. They usually last at least 1-2 days without chipping.

Try Dior Plum Invention. I absolutely adore it! It is always on my toes and on my fingers. It can chip but I find if you cake it on the color is utterly divine as well as longer lasting. But I always use base and top to enhance and strengthen.

Sally Hansen's Pat on the Black is awesome for this look! Found in most drugstores and less than OPI. ;)
