Stevens was rumored to begin recording her third studio album in Spring of 2006 but nothing ever came to. However, in 2008 The Daily Star said that she would be releasing a third album but had departed from her management and record label. The song "Guide to
Seduction" .She has also recorded the Alexis Strum Demo 'Coming on Strong' re-titled as 'No One Does It Better' with some changes to the lyrics , it is being considered as the first single to launch her third album penciled for release in 2009.
In a May 2008 interview, Rachel confirmed she had begun work on her upcoming third album. Nothing much is known. The album is expected to be released either late 2008, or early 2009.
