Raw sensuality and sophistication: these are the two main concepts upon which is built the new Autumn/Winter 2013-14 Prada advertising campaign shot last April in New York by Steven Meisel. Underscoring the duality of women – a concept very close to Prada’s DNA – the campaign images portray several women including up-and-coming models and authentic style icons.

Among the protagonists of the campaign are Christy Turlington and Freja Beha Erichsen as well as Amanda Murphy, Catherine McNeil, Kristine Froseth, Rachel Williams, Malaika Firth, Freja Ahrens, Fei Fei Sun and Cameron Russell. The setting is bare, austere; the focus is entirely on the women and their almost raw sensuality.

The models look into the lens with almost indifferent eyes, hidden behind dark sunglasses and seating on distressed leather armchairs or industrial style stools. The skin complexion is hyperrealist and the hairstyle is the same wet shiny look seen at the winter runway show. The palette features autumn shades while the lighting is bold.
