No release date yet!
Apparently the band are mastering the new album now.
It is expected to be released in November this year - but I'd say early 2008.

According to British Teletext Radiohead’s new album won’t be released until early next year.
Teletext: The band’s PR confirmed to us that they have finished recording the follow-up to 2003’s Hail To The Thief, but added: “It isn’t out until 2008.” No news was given for the delay, but it’s believed the band want to iron out a new record deal before its release, and to give time for their next record company to market the album.

Matrix students record with Radiohead

This might be the reason for the delay of LP7… In March Colin Greenwood and producer Nigel Godrich invited thirty Junior Extension children from Matrix Music School & Arts Centre to help realise an idea for one of the tracks on Radiohead’s forthcoming album. From the Matrix website: “The whole experience was great fun - for parents as well! - and we’re all looking forward to the release date.”

Matrix is an arts education charity which provides a warm and friendly environment in a purpose-built, award-winning building for children and adults to enjoy music, art and ballet lessons.

I can wait until 2008 for the new album.. I kinda figured we wouldn't get anything afterall.. there just wasn't enough.. buzz, i guess. and it's mid august already.
I played The Bends the other day.. I thought it was worth mentioning cause I hadn't listened to a Radiohead album from start to finish in the entire year.

This is the (rumoured) future song that the Matrix school kids are working on with Radiohead for the new album! All I can say is "Come on Kids"! I love it! It is called 15 Step!

amazing, walrus, . I remember feeling on the verge of tears watching this after missing the show in san diego.. it's such a beautiful song, it never fails to get me all hysterical.. I'm so excited about their new stuff.. and I'm crossing my fingers for them to make a proper tour.. last year's was so stupidly unexpected, I hated them.. and everyone who managed to score tickets, too.. seriously, how did they do it, we were all there at the same place and at the same time. *tries to forget and forgive*
