Ralph Lauren celebrating 50 years.

Honestly, it’s fabulous.

Ralph’s collections have been really quite nice these days - maybe he has some fresh blood in his design team, but the runway line seems to have returned to that really glamorous, relaxed, super aspirational look. Less “themey” than it had been in the late 00’s and early 10’s. Brings to mind some really fabulous collections from Ralph around 2002-2005.

I love the cast...totally gorgeous people...I love the venue, the clothes really look so well made and sumptuous and cozy...

And it has just the right amount of fashion, in styling, fit, fabrication and proportion, to keep everything feeling right for the moment.

Well deserved round of applause for making it this long but I still kind of wanted more. Towards the end, it started to look like those obnoxious Dolce shows (but like more chic).

The 40th-anniversary collection was more fun IMO.

Beautiful, luxurious and very Ralph Lauren ! It is good to have designers like him ^_^

not as good as last season but i liked it a lot, the evening wear is stunning. absolutely wonderful

when the polo stuff started coming out i rolled my eyes a bit but there are some nice pieces in there !

it all felt way too long and they showed way too much of VIP and not enough of the collection in the video

Interesting collection. While the styling suggests something aristocrat and "Christmas-New-York-1989" (dated, in another words) the clothes itself (most of them) are good, not out of touch and very contemporary.

There are two things that I didn't like:
1) the last part of collection is really bad. I get that is the 50th years anniversary collection, but this tacky Ralph Lauren logo mania its not for me.
2) the last part of show is a mess. Too many models in a small place. In the video you can tell that some people in the audience are bothered by that.

Besides that, great job and congratulations Ralph! Im always here for real and talented designers like him.

The magic of Ralph Lauren is that he is the only designer that has always somehow maintained the same level of relevance and sold so many clothes at so many different price range without loosing his aspirational value.

Whether you’re buying a tacky big logo polo or a classy evening gown, you’re a part of the Ralph Lauren world. Even Saint Laurent wasn’t able to do that. So for that alone, salute!

I really respect a designer like RL. He is really part of the tradition. In Europe, we had Valentino Garavani but nowadays, RL is the only one.

There are a lot of beautiful classic pieces but also some tacky and dated stuff but it works well because nobody does it like him.

Happy 50years King Ralph

Business as usual, but I think this was pure Ralph Lauren, what the brand represents to me and to many other people, what is in the collective imaginary aka the brand for WASPS.

A perfect anniversary collection, love all the nods to the things he's done best over the years. Gorgeous.
