I'm excited about the Vanity Fair thing too. They don't usually book supermodels for that magazine do they?

I think Raquel shares name with an actually jewish political figure or something like that I read that on google a lot time ago.

She has said her family has been in Brazil for like 6 generations, so definately not her grandparents, and I'm pretty sure Raquel isn't jewish.

The July VI is finally out so at least we are now only 1 issue away from Raquel's cover. Since when do you have to wait for the month of the issue for the issue to come out? VI is like the only magazine that does that anymore.

In all seriousness, I think that is the way it should be. With the all the August issues of magazines actually coming out in August, for instance. However, it just sucks knowing that Raquel has the August cover and it will be probably the last August cover to come out.

I'm disappointed by YSL ads, I had high hopes, but hope next images will be better.
Can't wait to see her on VI cover, and she has Vogue China cover aswell if I remember right.

And about the Jewish thing... didn't some Germans who got out of Germany in WWII remove the 'Von' from their last names? My friend's great great grandparents' last name was actually Von Shank but changed it to Shank when they immigrated to the US. Anyway, I don't think Raquel is any part Jewish.

I still think it's the VI cover, cause he barely ever posts and I don't think he reads this thread regularly otherwise he would have answered some of these posts talking about him.

I asked the hair stylist on twitter about the photographer from the Vanity Fair photoshoot and it's Norman Jean Roy, so we can expect something beautiful, love his work with Raquel. Remember that Vogue editorial with all the actors?

- She says she feels pleasured to be walking for Animale and that she has an affection to everyone who works for the brand and that she's been working with them for 6 years so it's always really nice to see everyone
- She says that's unique to be on Vogue's cover and it's something iconic (she shows her cover ) and she feels proud because she's brazilian and is on the cover


I really love Raquel in 2005 VSFS but Justin's face when she walks in 2006 is priceless

I find it a little weird that Kate Moss got the Anniversary cover, Gisele got 5 covers dedicated to her and then Raquel is stuck in the middle of all the epicness... which makes her issue look like a filler. Boo to you Vogue Brazil.
