I'm hoping she's in the next US Vogue because I'm starting to correlate Ms. Wintour's peeve for Raquel not showing up for FNO Lanvin dance off to Raquel's editorial absence in the recent issues.

I am worried too that there may be some reason Anna hasn't put Raquel in US Vogue. I just don't think it's that. It could have been that Raquel and Karen were never booked to go. I think they were just using them to advertise the event.

Yeah, I read that. Rosie for Animale seems kinda odd. But I guess they wanted to get a big name to replace Raquel. Even so, Rosie may be a big name but her talent as model doesn't even compare to Raquel's.

I just hope that whatever Raquel is doing instead of Animale is really worth it.

What's a bigger brand in Brazil that would pay a lot of money for a contract w/ Raquel?

I doubt Raquel would sever ties with Animale or miss other events unless she has been booked for something major. I just don't see her management allowing something like that to happen. I think we just have to wait and see what's going on... as for Rosie replacing her at Animale, I just can't even begin to see that. Rosie is a very pretty girl but her skills as a model leaves quite a bit to be desired.

The original article said that the brand that she is contracted with is an International brand. There aren't many Brazilian brands that can also be considered international brands, so I don't think its a Brazilian brand. I interpreted it as being something high fashion. What does everyone think?

For example, Lara since being contracted by Calvin Klein can't walk any other shows or shoot for any other clothing campaigns, even for some obscure brand contained within a single nation (not that I'm calling Animale obscure). So I'm thinking Raquel has a contract like this.

If it's an international brand and it is apparel then it's safe to assume that it's high fashion but which one? All the major campaigns are already out unless it's for fall?

I think that its for FW12, since she walked in LV for SS12, so I don't think the contract had been for that season or she would have not walked LV. It could make sense that a contract for FW would start now if they wanted to model to walk exclusively for their show and then star in the campaign. Like when Gisele walked for Givenchy for SS12, was she already contracted with them to do the campaign when she agreed to walk the show?

It also seemed like this Raquel not doing Animale anymore is fairly recent. Like back when she was shooting the Dell Anno campaign (and around the same time that she shot any SS12 campaigns) it seemed like Raquel was still with Animale. She was saying how she was able to do Dell Anno even though she had an exclusive with Animale since Dell Anno wasn't clothing. If she was done with Animale back then, I feel like she would have said something to the press.

If it is another Brazilian brand that we will know soon because she will walk for them at SPFW.

Her walk at LV was also an exclusive but i doubt that they would already have her under contract to be exclusive only to them in terms of campaigns for Fall 2012 that early... She could still have been under contract with Animale when she shot the Dell Anno campaign but it may have ended after that. It all depends on how long the exclusive deal was for... Whatever it is i'm very excited but also sad because this may mean that she won't walk any shows this fashion week except for which ever brand she has the exclusive which and if she does then we will finally know with who.

What I meant by her walking with Louis Vuitton was only an exclusive for International brands. When she walked LV, she could still walk Animale. So this must be some other type of contract (with another brand) where she can't walk anything else or it takes place around the same time as the Animale show. Her walking for LV in the SS12 show was just an example of why the contract is probably very recent.

I would think that if I brand were to demand of her that she not even walk Animale it must be something more that her just walking in the show, it would have to be a campaign. Just my interpretation
