my geek friend just took his normal Wayfarers and got the shades replaced with clear lenses

I've been wearing these for a while. I don't really care that they are/were a trend, as they are pretty much the only sunglasses I've ever found that look good on my face. I have the "normal" sized ones, in tortoiseshell. Hopefully I don't look like a fashion victim. I don't think I do, though, because they fit in with my style pretty well.

I had bought a pair a month ago and had lost them 3 days later. I'm such fan of the wayfarers that I decided to re buy them. I just think they look great and give a cool feel.
I remember seeing them worn by Madonna for her "Lucky Star" and "burning up" video and I just thought I had to get me a pair. > )

I want to buy the white wayfarers, but are they a big nono this year? I've been wearing the black wayfarers for several years now.

White Wayfarers are dangerous. They are hard to pull off because it doesn't look good on very many skin types. Girls tend to look better in white sunnies. Altho, if they are the cheap UO versions they looks CHEAP. And it hardly seems worth to spend the money on getting a nice one since they are so 'of the moment' kind of trend. Unless you are $$$$.

i have all four colors of raybans and theyre all the original vintage ones! i have the black, tortoise, white, and red. the white and red are the single color ones from the 70s/80s and my red ones happen to have mirrored lenses on them. theyre sick!

I love the tortoise Raybans, don't own any wayfarers myself, but those are my fave.

i've had the smaller version of the black ray-bans for a few years now... and recently i got the large black version... and i am IN LOVE with them! i highly recommend them!!

Those Raybans appear to be the folding ones. Did you get that model? I hear they are poorer in quality to the regular ones, what do you think?

Yeah they are poorer in quality than the regular ones, but also the regular ones aren't of good quality they have some marks and stuff...

i have a pair of the large black ones on order for me...they're bigger than my wayfarer II tortise and black ones...but the friken dude at the place tried to sell me these scratched up floor display ones....ugh! i hate living in a small town....i asked him if they had anymore and he told me 'no, we only ever get one pair in..." how f-ed up is that???
