I've never been one to care much for trends. I always wear what I like and enjoy wearing it even more after the trends are over. So I'm pretty sure I'm getting myself a pair, wear them before everybody else here starts wearing them, then I'll take a break and start wearing them again after a while .
It's so true what you said about Germans. I have a feeling that I live in a pretty conservative city too (fashion-wise). So boring .

i know what u mean! im from Austria but live in the UK...whenever i go back there ppl stare at me for wearing this or that...and its perfectly normal and nobody cares if i wear the same thing in England....its so annoying and also kinda funny

they have been very overdone here, by all the Urban Outifters kids. I still think if you liek them go for it. i just treid them on recently (red ones) and they were really heavy, so that would put me off. I like Alice McCall & Ksubi eyewear at the moment.

erm, I got a pair of these. :K They're black with the gray gradient tint, and I love them to death. I do hate the neon colored ones they sell everywhere though.

I totally agree.
The wayfarers have been around for so long now that they can be considered classic (at least in black and tortoise). I'm still panning on getting a pair. I tried them on in the store the other day and they also had the slightly bigger model called wayfarer II (the shape is a little different) and I liked those even better.

i have black framed, white framed and red framed...all cheap ones for about 2 pounds! i wanted to buy real ones but even if i was willing to pay for them, i would be too scared to wear them cos im such a slob, i lose everything or break stuff...

^ Yeah, I didn't want to break the real ones so that's why I held onto my fakes for so long. But since they lasted over 2 years, I figured I'd trust myself with the real ones. If not, well then I've learned my lesson!

I love the wayfarers and was so tempted to get it during macy's sale, but it looks akward on certain faces. So I'm still on the fence about them.

I finally got a pair of the tortoise ones (RB2140)! I dropped them two days after I got them though and there is now two small scratches on them. I should not be trusted with expensive sunglasses.

If anyone cares, I went to Zara today and they had maybe 5 or 6 colours of the wayfarers. They'renot bad...I think I saw black, forest green, navy, turquoise white and red. They were 29.90CAD and in the men's area but they are probably in the women's too.

I have a pair of faux Wayfarers which I wear absolutely everywhere!! I've tried on the proper Rayban ones and it just seems to sit strangely on my face... but since I like them so much, really hoping its the size or something other than the style/design (just cant seem to dismiss these shades!)!!!
