everytime i shave my legs, they go really really itchy and red.i dont know whether its a shaving rash, because it happens everytime i shave them but it really annoys me and itches.

Does any1 know what it is and how to stop it?? thanks

A sharper razor, water heated to eighty-six degrees fahrenheit, proper shaving foam, camomile lotion.

Do you use shaving cream? I've found that conditioner or shaving balm works better for me.

I kind of have the same problem--I use disposable razors and change them almost everytime I shave. I've noticed that helps a bit. Good luck!

TCP works when i have jus waxed no red marks:p dont know if it would be the same for shaving and it kind of stings slightly. maybe try this as a last resort if other suggestions dont work.

please dont hold me liable for this:lol:

 dont worry i wont!!!,i use desposable razors 2,i dont have any shaving creme so i use shampoo or conditioner, but it still goes red :S

It's best to shave before you go to bed instead of in the mornings, because the skin is more "calm" then. You could try peeling before. Also, dab on some bacteria killing product before & after (which is also why you shouldn't use the same razor/blades for too long)

I had some great links how to solve these kinds of problems before. Lemme get back if I find them.

venus razors are great nice and sharp:flower:

or failing that buy a blokes razor its cheaper the last time i looked and they now have 4 blades the difference is the colour!

black/blue or pink hmmmmmmmmm!

i do have a venus razor... ill just have to buy some new heads for it,what about putting baby oil or anything on after to?? will that help

when i shave i have little red pimples all over my legs so i moisturise them and its gone after about two hours!

Before you shave sit in the tub/shower for a bit to soften the hair and open the pores. Use a good, sharp razor. Use moisturizing shaving foam. Shave in the direction of hair growth. Follow with moisturizer - preferably something unscented for sensitive skin.

Yes, I'd recommend making sure you change your blades regularly. I change mine every month. Also, you may want to try Aveeno theraputic shave gel. I've heard it really helps with avoiding ichy legs after shaving. Also, after you're done shaving, rinse your legs in cool water. That will help close up the pores.

What about shaving rashes on sensitive areas(bikini, underarm)? Isn't there some sort of product like a soothing balm for it?

I religiously use Tend Skin and I love it. I haven't had any problems with any sensitive areas since I started using it.^_^

That's what I do, but i use conditioner instead of shaving foam...:innocent:

I also use sorbolene afterwards then put baby oil on top, my skin is silky as and I haven't had any rashes:)

I have the same problem and it sucks, what ever I use, razor, conditioner, shaving cream, nothing works, it itches like crazy, the only thing I have found that helps me wonderfully after shaving is Aveeno Skin relief moisturizing lotion for extra dry and itchy skin, it's the best thing I have found yet. I say give it a try ;)

What's TCP? ;)

I shave with either hair conditioner... or sometimes baby shampoo. Helps with the nicks and the razor burn
