In the immortal words of Diana Ross  " I'm still waiting.......... "

kit - i am going to paris in 3 weeks so i could check this place out & post what I saw/thought on this thread....if you would like. It sound good on the superfuturecity review. I must take a look at that again its ages since I looked at sfc

thanks for this thread.

 Marvellous !!!

Ramdane started POLETTE , a startingly successful shop , which was a me-too boutique based on guess which original .

He then came over to London and completely revamped LIBERTY LONDON'S men's dept , filling it with little known exclusive labels like CLOAK and EVISU JAPAN .

He returned to Paris and has opened the new shop and started his own line , which showed last in the Paris Homme PAP , last Monday .

With the excitement over Dior Homme , it's been overlooked .

Many thanks for your offer of a favour , but don't miss out on visits to Vanessa Bruno , L'Eclaireur and Comme etc , on my behalf !!!:innocent:

Just out of curiosity, how does one get into the ramdane website? I noticed it was listed on superfuturecity, and when attempting to access it, was prompted to enter a username and password after the amusing animation. I'm wondering if the login is actually required, or whether its just some cute gimmick....

I'd be grateful to know as well , as I have the same problem .
There's something comes up about holding down the shift key and retrying , but it does not work for me .

Kit - those shops are all on my list anyway. LOL. Love them all. Bought a great bag in l'eclairer last time I was there & I always make a pilgrimage to the VB store at St Sulpice. Our fave restau in Paris is round the corner from it. Santa Lucia. Comme is first port of call on the saturday as I am excited about seeing comme comme.

Don't forget ISSEY MIYAKE in the Place des Vosges ,( just the window displays are nearly enough ) , and if you're going with your ' petit-ami ' , I'm SURE he'd be interested in the only MASATOMO shop , outside Japan , just further round the square , the line has an interesting new designer who premiered at the Paris PAP.

There's a fantastic restaurant on the corner of the square , next to the shop , that has superb regional cuisine !!!

resistance RT s/s 06

People should pay a lot more attention on Resistance RT, I saw his s/s 06 in Paris, and lotsa Japanese buyer there. Although some mistaken the founder RT is Jap, when he's actually French Arabian. You see a lot more Arabic element in this s/s 06 collection. Way better n interesting than any of the new corp of Japs. I could show some pix of him n the show later.

does anyone have any pics?

I tried the link, it's not working...

Sorry for that? strange...... Oh well he might be back online later at some point?
Donno - I did hear he closed his shop in Paris 6e, so maybe he is laying low for a while.

Trouble all over the line ........ big fashion houses and small. The small have though to close and have or will. It's pretty bad...

Naturally there are exceptions, but few

Strange about the website...but I don't think he's doing that badly. Maria Luisa just threw a little party for him during fashion week in Paris, and as dhclam mentioned, the Japanese are swarming all over him right now (the line is produced in Japan, which makes the pricing more attractive for their market...plus the look is indeed very Japanese).

There's a little slideshow of some pieces from A/W here: http://www.la-couture.com/defonline/H_01_05/resistance.htm

were u there?
