Sexual Misconduct Allegations in the Fashion Industry

One question: this type of really delicate issues... shouldn't be made public once the investigation has come to a conclusion and the judge has given a sentence?
No, court integrity.

It is a delicate issue and that's why many people take years to denounce their abusers (or never do it).. it's enough distress to go through that and then through a process that may or may not bring justice but definitely further humiliation, publicly. Respect for Patrick for following all the right steps despite what sounds like a horrible event. That law firm seems to be doing well with this type of cases, I imagine they have strong evidence (since this guy knew what to do right away). They probably gave Riccardo's attorneys enough time to settle privately and.. their loss now.

Is Riccardo on a green card? these records, the constant in and out of the US and the state of things.... 🍸

disoriented, confused, impaired, intoxicated, unaware of his actions and surroundings and unable to comprehend what was going on.

Cooper claims he was not conscious during the sexual assault and only realized what had happened when he woke up next to Tisci naked

How exactly does a bottom assault this man who was unconscious and so impaired he was passed out. There are certain mechanics that have to happen.

It’s not a criminal case so I’m not sure how that works if he’s not a citizen/on a green card. Not sure why the alleged victim didn’t file a criminal case after going through with a r*pe kit.

am i dumb to think r*pe kits only test certain openings? Or can it also detect scratches around the body as cause of r*pe? so many questions...

someone enlighten me pls. 😭

I’m sure you can look up what a r*pe kit is if you google it?

They wouldn’t dare publicly.

Although the likelihood of this being the classic motives of an opportunist claiming a windfall settlement is on everyone— and every one of their minds, is guaranteed.

(The thought of taking a total stranger to my home— no matter how hot he was, never crossed my mind even in my hornier days: Maybe it was Fincher’s macabre cautionary tale spin for Madonna’s Bad Girl that left such an indelible impression on me since I was little LOL …Just the thought of a stranger knowing where I live after our one night was enough of a deterrent. Then when I was living with my BFF, the thought of someone stealing all her Chanel jackets would be such guilt I could never live down. And then when I got my own home, the thought of strangers with questionable hygien practices, touching my decor, is out of the question…. It’s just bizarre that someone of his status, wouldn’t just get a hotelroom instead of inviting a complete stranger to his home. Some gays can be so beyond dumb.)

One night stands happening at someone's own home with a stranger is unique to only gay men.

I was never a fan of Tisci, and I’m honestly glad about it lol. Like I just couldn’t care less about his personal life, and this whole mess only validates why I never tried to force myself to like his work in the first place.

Fashion is still far from being in its healing era, but at the very least, we can finally stop name-dropping people like him.

So, a sexual assault accusation is what validates you not liking his clothes? Bizarre way to think.

people like you are the problem. you're literally perpetuating r*pe culture.

I think it goes both ways.

Some people don't like the green square person, but I think they stated something pretty true. Whenever accusations like this are made, prior to the burden of proof being made, it leaves a permanent stain on the accused. Regardless of what actually happened (for which we may never know). Some will believe that any rumor said about this person (liking a specific type of people isn't necessarily a crime btw, unless they are causing harm to these individuals) is confirmation they are guilty. Some will simply wonder whether or not they did this awful crime.

Either way, there really aren't any winners in this. Both parties walk away damaged.

Excuse me, my first comment should have read ISN'T unique to only gay men

Tell that to people like Neymar and Alves. Both cases fake news too.
using neymar and daniel Alves as counterarguments is an interesting choice, to say the very least.

to be fair, based on the court proceedings, najila’s testimonies were very dubious, and she likely tried to blackmail Neymar. however, he still posted nude pictures of her on his Instagram as proof that he didn’t r*pe her.

daniel alves’ case is different; he changed his testimony at least four times, his entourage attempted to expose the victim’s identity to diminish her credibility. the victim remains anonymous and will likely appeal the court’s decision to clear alves of the r*pe accusations. what’s shocking about this case is the fact that, up until the beginning of this year, the outcome seemed favorable to the victim due to consistency in the testimonies, witnesses, and proof. suddenly, the jury unanimously found gaps in the defense and decided that the victim’s testimonies weren’t reflective of factual reality 🤠.

now, back to tisci debacle: its very telling how ppl are quick to apply capital punishment and wish the worst to a designer who makes boring clothes (ahem MGC) but decide to be """'level headed"""" when a designer of their liking is accused of sexual assault. i hope none of yall are lawyers bc using the fact that riccardo is a bottom, who vultures over black and latino men, as proof that he didn't assault someone is an insane way of thinking

If he mixed Viagra/Cialis with the drugs he gave to the victim, he can use the victim as a human dildo easily. No matter if the r*pist is a total bottom.

It's cute how people think these designers and the fashion industry is behind velvet ropes. They're not mythical creatures.

While we do have a running joke about grindr gays being hired for positions within the industry. A lot of them are really just that and are accessible.

Elaborate, please

This thread is blowing my mind a bit, but not in a good way. Whether you believe it or not is up to you, but it's absolutely wild to suggest someone supposedly being a bottom means they can't be a sexual predator, it's laughable to suggest the accusations aren't believable because it's not the accused's style (do you know them intimately? And even if you did, that's an insane way to think), to openly speculate on a public forum about positions that could have been employed in a r*pe, to be so confidently ignorant about what a "r*pe kit" is, how date r*pe drugs can work - acting like the you found a plot hole because the accuser is tall so how could he be carried home? And on and on. The same people who always jump to "But why didn't you come forward about this right away?!" are also often the ones labeling the people who do come forward as liars and opportunists. He could be lying, I don't know. But just the way it's discussed is rubbing me the wrong way.
