Rick Owens S/S 2023 Paris

It's whatever, this collection is all over the place. This looks like three different collections crammed into one.

He can edit out those tired pagodas shoulders garments out of his collection. Frankly, I'm very happy not to see those shoulders from his collection again. It doesn't look cool or "edgy" anymore Rick.
Those horrible hairy boots can go away forever.
And those big tulle Valentino-lite gowns (look 28, 29, and 40) make no sense in this collection.

The last part is my favorite. Look 36 is fabulous. All the asymmetrical dresses look gorgeous with the materials and techniques that he used. It's glamorous and subversive at the same time.

This collection has potential if he edits out all of his tired tricks and focuses on exploring new territory for him like in the last section.

Not my favourite collection of his but I love some of it and the models are styled so well. Can't help but have a fondness for him and Michele Lamy.

Love it ! Nice colour palette. Way more wearable than last season. Very luxurious. Nice to have him doing some red carpet moments.

I am very excited to request some looks !

While I love it, I do expect a bit more from him in terms of some of patternmaking and construction for some of the mini dresses. Also some of the draped looks are giving me Helmut Lang at Nordstrom circa 2012. Put it in a NY fashion week show and no one would be none the wiser.

While I was over the Kiss heel boots, they are fabulously styled here. The black finale looks are the beautifully done and look very luxurious. I can see so many different types of women wearing them.

I have been wanting the jacket Rick is wearing for a while and now I may just pull the trigger. His looks great.

love it. it’s a little more commercial but I don’t mind.
everything looks desirable and well constructed.
so many amazing dresses! the short see-through mini coats! the drama of the capes flowing.
exquisite colour palette.

I for once didn’t mind that he gave us different segments in the collection because in the end it’s all so cohesive.
didn’t disappoint me at all. well done!

No complaints from me; a very likeable and beautiful collection from Rick. Once again, the black looks towards the end are the strongest here and I imagine we'll be seeing a lot of those used by a certain editor in chief of i-D come 5/6 months time :innocent:.

I like it overall, though not as much as some of his other more recent collections.
Can't believe he somehow managed to make those shoes even uglier.

It is just a mixture from his latest collections, with just some slightly variations here and there.

Rick has gone lazy, he does not seem to care to experiment new things anymore. He should be very busy f.ucking Tyronne, because since Tyronne appeared, his work has stalled.

You can tell Pierpaolo and Rick have been hanging out a lot because they're really starting to adopt to many noticeable things from each other.

The collection is fine, and pretty safe because it is the same as the last couple of collections from him. Starting to stall a little bit creatively but maybe he's just being smart and riding out this wave until something else comes along (besides Tyrone).

Not his most inspiring effort but it does have highlights worth mentioning. The translucent bombers that look like cocoons, the few dresses with that beautiful draping across the bodice are great but the second half didn’t tell me much, a bit drab, with the exception of look 36.

The babydoll dresses are nice too and quite unexpected from him, they also seem to be becoming a trend in Paris since Loewe also had a few of them.

Mostly a nothingburger for me but I saw a few pics on insta that looked really pretty against the fountain and the choppy water. I do like the twisty one sleeve dresses though. They were in the mens collection too. Dear god please don't let me have a senseless ADHD shopping moment with one. Maybe I cud be a pretentious art nouveau wannabe dweeb on the beach with one? Or alone in my apartment... help.

When you feel like that, look at any Maria-Grazia Chiuri for Dior collection. Or a Virginie one from Chanel. And the feeling of buying clothes would disappear!!

^Totally! But make sure to close your windows beforehand or you might find yourself taken by an irresistible urge to jump from them…

Okay I don't really like this collection in particular and his current work is questionable anyways lol BUT, his idea of this product guide is great. I love how transparent this is. I wish this existed for his earlier collections.
