I'm not sure if I ever posted it here or in the leather jacket thread but def. posted it in the Shopaholics thread. If you want to see a pic, let me know. I don't mind posting it again.

great jacket! Has anyone hit the NYC RO store yet? I've seen pics in racked and it looks amazing!

So I feel like the time has come for to me finally invest in a leather jacket and rick owens is the one for me! The only problem is I'm not sure whether my first one should be solely leather or perhaps get one that has shearling for winter etc..I want to be able to wear it all times and I'm worried that if it has fur it might be too warm?

jemenfiche:
it depends on a lot of factors... there are leather jackets for winter and for spring/summer. I have a leather jacket that has its lining in a soft fleece, whereas the ss version of it is lined in a light cotton/acetate material. mine is pretty warm, but the unlined ones/lined in light materials are good for layering as opposed to 'covering up'.

a shearling is definitely warm, the ones i've touched are very heavy. I would get it only because the cold season lasts a long time where I live and it would be worth it :)

finally, it depends on the price, because shearlings are almost double the price of leathers!

shearling's are generally $3100. that's what my RO shearling was. i've never seen a leather under $3000?

the outside of the boutique is my favorite. I think we in L.A. should have been first though. Photo from curbednetwork.com

the SA was so cool, she said if it fits you ;)
i'm a size 40 in girls...good to know huh?

that i think i could actually pull off
i looked good in it.

price tag $1,000.....
