oh wow... reading that interview posted by Ecstasy_lover (*karma, btw!*) just made my heart cry a little. Rie was truly electric when she was modelling. she had the potential of becoming a legend. i really miss her presence in the fashion world, though i hope that she will find more success as an actress or filmmaker.

i will never forget the first time i saw her. it was in the 2001 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. she and Karolina Kurkova each made a dramatic impression on me that night; i hadn't noticed either of them prior to then. Rie was just so sensual. so dramatic. such presence. i suspect that you'd know she was in the room before you saw her, you'd just feel that she was there.

I've watched it today on her site. And I'm blown away. She's absolutely fabulous in this video. I hope to see her film as soon as it will be possible.
