While I was reading Norwegian Wood last year, I actually visualised Rinko as Midori the whole way through, and someone perhaps more conventionally beautiful for Naoko. I'm still glad she'll be in the film, I love her. Does anyone know who's directing?

Oh my goodness I am SO excited for Norwegian Wood! a) because Anh Hung Tran (Vietnamese director who did scent of the green papaya) is directing, b)Pin Bing Lee (cinematographer extraordinaire) is shooting and now c) RINKO KIKUCHI is starring in it!!! It's going to be beautiful. Exquisite even. I hope my high expectations are proved right!

Looking at those photos I actually feel like lighter, almost blonde hair looks much more natural on her than dark hair. Dark hair looks too severe and ages her a lot.
