RIP Giorgio Armani (1934-2025)

^ Thank you for posting all of these Kanzai.

Very sad, but probably not entirely surprised to read of Mr Armani's passing on the BBC a few hours ago.

His commitment to a refined sense of grace and elegance and refusal to bow to trends of the era is what I will always be grateful to him for. His ability to dress both men and women and make them look their best is one that very few others in fashion have achieved over the decades.

Even if his runway presentations didn't always feel modern, especially lately, his clothes always looked great and could often achieve a more contemporary edge when styled for editorial.

And lastly his campaigns...so consistent and brilliant. Too many favourites to mention, but the F/W 08 campaign with Du Juan and Stam by M&M will always stand out in my mind (a great collection as well).

RIP maestro :flower:.

Such tragic news. What an absolute legend. So terribly sad to see someone like Giorgio Armani leave the fashion world. I had become so incredibly fond of his work over this past decade, even more so than ever before. I will always and forever cherish the endless amounts of pure unapologetic glamour, sophistication, and elegance!

This is profoundly sad. No one could ever match what Mr. Armani achieved.
His influence went far beyond clothes. He created a whole new code of elegance. We’re witnessing the end of an era that can never be repeated.

R.I.P Signore Armani.
Your legacy will endure for generations.

I feel as if I had almost immortalized him in my head for years... never, ever, in a million years did I remotely prepare myself to hear this news.

Mr. Armani was one of the first designers who made me fall in love with fashion beyond the trivial sense, as a code of its own, a means of creative expression that extended to women and men across the globe. I was only 13 when I made my first account dedicated to my ever-growing appreciation for fashion, gave it a username including Armani's name so as to commemorate his work, and... well... it's sure stuck ever since. In an industry where we're conditioned to expect all we know to change in the snap of a finger, Armani never once budged, and I firmly believe that even with him gone, his legacy and everlasting influence will remain in much the same way.

Rest in beautiful peace to one of one. A forever inspiration 🕊️

It is a really sad day....i passed today near the stores, everything is normal...i've expected they were gonna close today..On the headquarters there was the police around and some press outside...maybe later the atmosphere will change.

If you come to Milan you have to visit the Armani Silos ,it is worth seeing to understand better his vision...

Lol just found out KVA is a big fan of Armani, he liked and comment in most posts regarding him just like me. Nicolas Ghesquiere, Pieter Mulier, Theyskens, Haider and some designers I follow didn't post anything but they liked mutual posts as me.

Armani, everyone love you sm!

saddened to hear of his passing. growing up, armani was always the byword in luxury. i honestly thought he'd still be around for a few more years given how strong he looked for his age and the fact he was still working
