yes, "if this was happiness" by barbara leaming.
before reading it, i had no idea of the sadness of rita's life...
i recommend it.

i also have "rita hayworth: a memoir" by james hill, but i haven't gotten around to it yet.

Wow I am so sorry it took so long! I kept forgetting about it!
The eyes are a little weirder than I remember
painting them but oh well. It is a monotone watercolor painting. Enjoy.
