i dont know anything about this guy...
except that mullet posted some of his work where he collaborated with stylist lucy ewing and it was lovely....so i went to google and found his website...
seems he does a lot of work with the sunday times...
he also shot the prada f/w and s/s 2000 ads...

his work doesnt seem very consistent to me yet...
maybe its because i've just discovered it...
but it seems a bit all over the place....
i'm trying to figure out what his 'trademark' is....

there is some lovely work nonetheless...

if anyone knows anything more about him please share...
:flower:...

here are the prada ads to begin...

* images are from his website www.robertwyatt.net
a lot of his work is posted there but unfortunately it's one of those flash sites that doesnt let you save anything or even link to it...

The 'Snow' editorial is glorious..! :crush:

I see cohesion in his work actually. It all exudes melancholic yet serene solitude. Prada's campaign's are generally of the clinical variety - a striking opposition to his otherwise personal work.

Thanks for the thread, Adorefaith.

Fantastic stuff :D
Can't wait to see more.
Thanks for all the images

thanks for starting this, adorefaith!.
I love his work for 10 Magazine but I was a bit uneasy on the rest of his portfolio for exactly the same reasons you mention, the lack of consistency.. which I'm now thinking it's perhaps due to the amount of commercial work he makes?.. like in the sunday times for instance, there doesn't seem to be enough freedom to go completely individual but you can see there's definitely going on when you look at his work for 10 or Vogue Deutschland.. I don't know, I'm rambling here.. I often feel puzzled when some artists deliver amazing work and the next day you see them doing some pretty mediocre stuff.. it talks about extreme condescension to me. but then I've never done business so I don't know how it much it can take from you really. :ninja:

It can take a LOT -- very very exhausting work. However, I think the fact here really is that often editors make a very strange edit out of work that would be great if shown differently. Depends on the publication, but remember that often photographers do not have the last say in what runs -- it goes by the PE, the AD, then depends how a designer may crop, etc etc. Many different people stirring the pot can really ruin a story or make it boring (or conversely, make a very boring story much more interesting through layout). But I would say that if a photographer normally does great work and then you see one bad story either the client asked for it that way (seriously, so many out of it clients), the edit went wrong or finally then the photographer just had a bad day -- it happens to everyone!
