Uschi Obermaier

I read the book, she was wild  but she is gorgeous

Here's the trailer of the movie based on the book.

from wikipedia:

Her life has been depicted in a biopic called Eight Miles High (in german "Das wilde Leben"). The controversial movie had been directed by Achim Bornhak and was released in February 2007. It is based on the bestselling book High Times, an authorized biography on Obermaiers life, written by Olaf Kraemer, who also wrote the screenplay to Eight Miles High. The book went to number 3 on the bestseller list and stayed there for five months. The movie was edited from PG 16 to PG 12 by the distributors and made number 10 at the box office. The movie stars Natalia Avelon as Uschi Obermaier, Matthias Schweighöfer as Rainer Langhans, Victor Norén (singer of the Swedish band Sugarplum Fairy) as Mick Jagger, Alexander Scheer as Keith Richards and David Scheller as Dieter Bockhorn.

In 1973, Uschi Obermaier fell in love with Dieter Bockhorn, the rich owner of a club in Hamburg's red-light district, the Reeperbahn. Together, they traveled the world in a customized bus, first spending three years in Asia, then going to Mexico and the USA for another three years. In an Interview (Galore, Issue25) Obermaier marked reports as completely fictious that she and Bockhorn would have had a traditional wedding in every country they traveled in. They only married once in India. After ten years their relationship ended abruptly. On New Year's Eve 1983, Dieter Bockhorn died in a motorcycle accident in Mexico.
By then, Uschi Obermaier had been granted American citizenship.

Today, she lives in Topanga Canyon near Los Angeles, working as a jewelery designer. :flower:

Looks interesting....but since Uschi was so....special...it's hard to replicate her particular charm and it's essential to the story. She's not just any 10 girl, they're one in a 100/0, she's one in a million. Same thing with many biopics, even Gia.

Pamela Susan Courson had a very sad ending... After Jim died her world collapsed, totally. She was hooked on heroin an penniless since it took years for her to access Morrisson money estate that was legally hers. She had to use prostitution in order to sustain her addiction and had no fixed address. She would live in squallor and crash in friends pads. The irony is that she died a very short time before she could henerite Jim's money and live with financial security... Yeah, poor girl... very sad ending.

Wow, she was beautiful!

Sort of off-topic, but last night I watched the movie All Dolled Up about the New York Dolls, and in it there is quite a lot of footage of Sable Starr and Lori, including when Sable met Johnny Thunders... very cool!

Does anyone know why Jim Morrisson "changed his look" the way he did the last few years of his life. Considering what he probably died from and his whole lifestyle...I guess Pamela was a really good cook :p

^ lol!

Im still amazed about Pam. She looks so sweet and innocent and naive ,
But those stories about her just showing a very different person. Pam wasnt any Angel or innocent [though i believe she was very sweet person]. When i saw the film "the doors" i thought that jim brainwashed pam's mind, But one of the stories tells that jim wasnt a addict as Pam was. He was an alcoholic. So that night he took by "mistake" [ i guess it wasnt a real mistake] Pam's stuff several hours before he died. I dont know if it was like that but i read that pam was telling this version for his death. I guess we will never know.

I saw this article of Star Groupie magazine on David Bowie, and it has Lori Maddox (she's named as Laurie Mattix here) & Cherry Vanilla on it, talking about Bowie.^_^

David Bowie in
Hollywood

by Annie Tipton
(June 1974)

Star Cover Girl Patty Clark and I caught our breaths as we ran up the boarding ramp and watched the sleek silver Super Chief train from Chicago roll into L.A. 's Union Station-with cosmic superstar David Bowie onboard. The shiny doors of the metal beast swung open, and Patty rushed up to a dazzling, zoot-suited Bowie, planting a Star smacker right on his smiling lips and handing him a bouquet of pink baby roses and a copy of Star. Winking at Patty, Bowie whispered something into her ear and I could see her blush. Bowie cocked his carrot-colored shag to one side and strutted his lean zoot-suited body toward the small but adoring crowd that had gathered here at 9 in the morning to meet him. But, before I could get a chance to greet him, his grizzly-bear bodyguard whisked him into a black limo parked near by and sped off. Patty turned to me grinning like a Cheshire cat:
"What did he say," I asked breathlessly.
"That he loved the magazine and. . . oh, gawd, I can't tell you the rest!"

Well, I wasn't about
to settle for a second-hand story anyway, so I flagged downa taxiand wetagged Davidstraight for theContinentalHotel on the Sunset Strip. When I arrived, two limos had dumped an army of traveling trunks and a battalion of suitcases in front of the hoteland David ordered, "Get these carts inside," in a cool, crisp English-accented manner. Then he darted inside the hotel. Standing in the middle of the commotion, as porters unloaded David's gear, I mentioned off the cuff to this brunette chick who was standing nearby (outfitted in a printed, sleazy-but-trendy 30's dress):

"Willyou just look at those incredibly insaneclothes-I just don'tbelieve it." The chick flashed a smile and said: "Yeah, he carries most of his street clothes when's he's touring and most of his stage costumes-like his spacemen's suits. He's going to be on the road about two months, you see. Didn't you see thatTimeMag picture of David with that beautiful black suit of his-well he brought that one too. Like all his suits are custom-made by this fabulous Japanese designer, Kansai, "

"Wait a minute," I said, fumed on by this gasy bit of gab. "How do you know all this about David Bowie?" Cocky and bold she replied, "I'm David's P.R. girl-my name's Cherry Vanilla!"

"Far-out!" I said,

Astounded by the amountofbaggage being trucked through the lobby, I asked Cherry if David carried eve thing he owned with him.

"Just about. He brings all his clothes, jewelry, makeup and accessories."

"Does he bring along a makeup man and a hair-stylist too?"

"No, David basically does his own makeup and his own hair. But he had a makeup man called Pierre LaRuche in New York, and this chick named Sue who cuts his hair and colors it. But David does his own makeup and fixes his own hair before he goes on stage. He knows what he wants and he knows how to create it. He's phenomenal."

"Could you give me some background poop on David?"

"Well,"Cherry said, "as you probably know, he was trained as a dancer and a mime, and his theatre background really comes from mime training. He's also a mystical sort of person and used to study Tibetan Buddhism, and that cosmic stuff really affects the way he is."

"Was it in London that he studied mime?"

"Yeah. And then he had a mime show of his own called- Feathers. In fact, I just found out yesterday that he toured with T-Rex once.

"You know, David lives in a place called Beckenham, Kent, and it's like a little garden paradise, right outside of London. It's a big house, and he has a security guard living downstairs, while Davie and his wife, Angela, and their baby Zooey Bowie, live upstairs. The band lives nearby. Beckenham is really a fabulous park area."

"How old is Zooey?"

"He's so beautiful. He's almost 22 months old. He's got this long cascading blonde curly hair (he looks like David did on the cover of Hunky Dory), and just the most fabulous disposition. He's such an open kid."

"What's their family scene like?"

"Well David and Angie have some real magic going. I mean, they have just the most fabulous relationship, the only kind that they could have. They're both totally free agents. You know, Angie can be with another guy if she wants and David can be with another girl-it doesn't matter. They've been married a little over two years now and really dig each other.

"Cherry, tell me about David's itinerary for the next month or so."

"He leaves here in a week on a fabulous cruise ship that sails from L.A. to Japan. He'll be covering the major cities there in concert. In fact, the tickets are already sold out! Then he's going by boat to the Asian mainland to catch the incredible Trans-Siberian Express through Russia and Poland. It'll be a fabulous trip, I wish I was going with him! But he's just taking Angie and his best friend."

"Yes, but I'm curious. . . why doesn't he ever fly. I heard somewhere that he had a dream at one time about being killed in a plane crash. Is this true?"

"The song Five Years was written about that. In the song "My Death" He says:

"My death awaits till now,
my friends,
A few good times before it
ends!"

And it's getting closer and closer, you know. And it keeps all of us devoted and hanging on, because everybody's waiting around to see what's going to happen in four years. . . You see, he had this dream that the electro-magnetic energy force field around earth was going to falter, and so all the aircrafts in the air were just going to plummet to earth."

"Fascinating," I said, hardly believing what I'd heard. "Gee, I wish I could talk to David personally-what a trip it would be.

"Tell me how you got so involved with David Bowie and the groupie scene."

"I used to be a groupie myself. I would tell all the musicians I was writing a rock column in Creem, called "Cherry Vanilla With Scoops For You." . Just then, atremendous hustling- bustling commotion broke up our conversation . . . I looked around just in time to see David in dazzling checked '.,sports coat with a real silver tie, red vest and silver six-inch honky boots dashing out the door with a trail of photographers snapping cameras. At that point. Cherry said good-bye to me and scurried off after David as he jumped into his limo with all his entourage. .

Just thenIspotted Laurie Mattix-a slinky little black-eyed, groupie-doll stepping out of the elevator in the hotel lobby. She smiled at me as I waved:

"You should have been up in David's room with me . . . what a trip!" said Laurie, winking.

"Laurie," I said in desperation, "where is David off tonow?"

"He has a meeting at RCA, then he's checking out the night-club bit. Laurie got into rapping about David, and when I asked her what David (or "Ziggy" as he likes to be called) is like when he's offstage Laurie said:

"He's always on stage. Even when he's sitting around his dressing room, he's like Rudolf Valentino of the 1930's. "

"What does David think of the groupie scene?"

"Oh, he loves it-he has a million girls hanging around him all the time. He likes groupies because they have whatit takes to get him, the looser, the better'"

"He likes to go shopping with them 'cause he loves clothes. Then, he likes to go to weird parties. He loves clubs too, English-type disco clubs with dancing, and he enjoys having people come up to him and ask him for an autograph. But he doesn't just like groupies, he's great at talking to all kinds of chicks of all ages. He even likes real ugly girls- really freaky, strange girls. "

The next morning my phone rang and it was Cherry Vanilla, with two front row tickets for me at Oavid's Palladium Concert! Laurie and I decided to go together and were ushered helter-skelter up to some choice front row seats just as the show opened with Ziggy's Men from Mars doing a heavy Beethoven number, Ode to Joy, to get their act together.

The lights went dim and from out of the black beyond appeared the fabulousZiggyStardust (alias David Bowie), wearing this insane black-hoop legged costume. The lunar vibrations were incredible and the crowd went insane. This was raving Bowie mania! During the performance I noticed there was a huge gold disc drawn on his forehead. I asked Laurie what it meant and she said:"Idon't really know, but it's probably something spacey and insane like a third eye or something." I figured it might be one of those Buddhist symbols since he was so much into Eastern Religions. After a dynamite fashion parade of seven beautiful costumes, and cosmic sounds, David moved into his finale, Rock and Roll Suicide Laurie and I then battled our way through the cheering, chanting crowd backstage to see David. Laurie and I pushed and shoved our way through groupies, musicians and record company types till we were in David's dressing room. All around us were his incredible costumes, hanging from every door and dresser. David was wearing a Japanese embroidered lounging robe, and was puffing on a long, brown cigarette. Laurie ran up to him, giving him a kiss and sat in his lap. "David, you have to meet my friend from Star!"

"You've got a pretty gasy book, Luv," said Bowie. "The Spiders and I really dug on The Groupies comics and poster you did on our group! How'd you like the show?"

"Far-out!" was about all I could get myself together to say, and just as I was going to ask him about his tour, a crowd of managers and PR people came in and said:

"Come on David, you'll miss the ship'"

That's right, tonight David was sailing for Japan! David hurriedly said goodbye to everyone and kissed all the chicks bon voyage-including me! Zowie! Then he disappeared through the pressing throng out to the limo. Two .assistants were busy packing all his gowns into steamer trunks for David's cruise to Japan. I didn't exactly get the interview I was after. . . but somehow I felt I had found out more about the personal Bowie by rapping with his friends. And that Zowie Bowie kiss-I'll never kiss and tell what it was like!

pattie boyd

Im shocked no one did on pattie boyd.. oh well:

Patricia Anne "Pattie" Boyd (sometimes known as Pattie Boyd-Harrison or Pattie Clapton) (born 17 March 1944 in Taunton, Somerset, England), model and photographer, is best known as the wife of two famous rock musicians and the inspiration for several monumental rock love songs.

Marriages

After meeting on the set of A Hard Day's Night, Pattie married George Harrison on January 21, 1966, during the heyday of his group, The Beatles. Harrison's friend Eric Clapton, first of The Yardbirds, then of Cream, also fell in love with her. Pattie went on to divorce Harrison on June 9, 1977, and later marry Clapton on March 27, 1979. She and Clapton divorced in June 1988.

Career

Pattie was a successful model during the 1960s and early 1970s. She was known to frequent trendy clubs as well as the company of the era-defining designers Mary Quant and Ossie Clark. She also appeared several times in the covers of the best-known British magazines, including the UK and Italian editions of Vogue. Boyd was a 20-year-old model in 1964 when she met the youngest Beatle during filming for A Hard Day's Night. She married Harrison in 1966 and is said to have introduced the Beatles to the Indian mystic the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi later that year

Muse
Pattie was the inspiration for one of Harrison's most famous Beatles songs, "Something" (which Frank Sinatra called one of the best Lennon/McCartney songs ever recorded, though it was written entirely by Harrison). George told Pattie that "Something" was written for her but after she left him, Harrison denied Pattie was his muse.
During Clapton's tenure in Derek and the Dominos, their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, focused on his unrequited love for Pattie, which consumed Clapton. Clapton's tortured passion for his best friend's wife produced one of his most famous songs, "Layla," a rock song that became a pop hit in three different decades, with two different versions. Pattie is said to also be the inspiration to "Bell Bottom Blues" from the same album, which Clapton reportedly wrote after she gave him a pair of blue jeans. Clapton's desire for Pattie drove him to a drug addiction[citation needed] that forced him to go on a music hiatus for several years in the early 1970s.
After Harrison's increasing religious exploration and relentless infidelity irrevocably alienated her, Pattie left him for Clapton; from then on she became Clapton's muse. On Sept. 7, 1976 Clapton wrote the famous love song "Wonderful Tonight" for Pattie while waiting for her to get ready to go out to Paul and Linda McCartney's annual Buddy Holly party. He also penned other tunes for her: "Pretty Blue Eyes", "Golden Ring", "Never Make You Cry" (from Behind the Sun) and "Pretty Girl" (from Money and Cigarettes).
However, just like her marriage to Harrison, the outward image of the perfect couple Clapton and Boyd projected masked deep pain and struggle. His addictions led her to alcohol addiction, which he documented with the song The Shape You're In. She divorced him in 1988 after years of alcoholism on his part, as well as numerous affairs. Pattie herself was never able to conceive children .
Harrison and Clapton remained very good friends despite the struggle with Pattie. Clapton cited his reasons for being with Pattie as human nature, moreover pointing out that it was not done with ill-will towards Harrison. Clapton even organized, emceed, and performed at the Concert For George, the commemoration concert for George Harrison following his death.
John Lennon and Mick Jagger were known to have had crushes on Pattie, with the latter admitting in the 1980s that he'd tried (but failed) to seduce her for years. She also had a brief affair with future Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood during the fall of 1973, as her marriage to Harrison was ending. Ronnie Wood and his then wife, Chrissie, were guests of George and Pattie Harrison for a month at their home, Friar Park, where George and Ronnie were recording together. After a few weeks George invited Chrissie Wood on a holiday to Portugal and then to Switzerland - with her husband's blessing. Left behind Ronnie Wood and Pattie then traveled to the Bahamas with other friends including Mick Jagger - and were discovered by the press upon their return landing at London airport on November 25, 1973 - thus intensifying rumors in the press about the Harrison marriage. However, Boyd left Wood heartbroken, influencing yet another musician's recordings, such as the songs "Breathe on Me" and "Mystifies Me".
Pattie's younger sister Jenny Boyd (born Helen Mary Boyd, but nicknamed Jenny after one of Pattie's childhood dolls) also experienced a musician love triangle: she was the muse for some of Donovan's pop hits, most notably "Jennifer Juniper." However she eventually chose Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac fame, marrying Fleetwood in 1970 and bearing him two daughters.

Photography
An exhibition of photographs taken by Boyd during her days with Harrison and Clapton opened at the San Francisco Art Exchange on Valentine's Day 2005, titled "Through the Eye of a Muse." The exhibition also ran again in San Francisco in February 2006, and for six weeks in June/July 2006 in London

Autobiography
Wonderful Today: The Autobiography of Pattie Boyd due to be published in England on August 23, 2007 by Hodder Headline Review, includes her own photographs. It was written with journalist Penny Junor. The 63-year-old Boyd lives in a 17th-century cottage in West Sussex and is said to be enjoying the prospect of her account going head-to-head with Clapton's autobiography.
