i didn't know that thing about bebe and cameron crowe. i always thought was based on pamela, because i always thought that stillwater was based on led zeppelin (there are another bands too, but mostly led zeppelin) and pamela was with jimmy back in 1973... so i thought was based on her. but good to know it was based on bebe.

Janis was cuter b/c of her style and attitude, but I agree they look similar. I've never thought Patricia was at all attractive. Don't know much about her personality. Thought I read online somewhere years ago where she talks a bit of trash about Pamela Courson, which I thought was in bad taste. I'll try to find it.

patricia wasn't attractive, but in my opinion janis wans't too. but janis had great style.. and anyway, i've read things patricia said about pamela and i have to agree with you, very bad taste. i guess they were always vying with each other.

I love Cyrinda. It is so sad that she passed away.
I can pretty much say with certainty that she and Bebe Buell did not have a love affair, lolololol.
I also like the style of that time. The way these girls dressed.
Much more classy and stylish than the rock type girls today.
That is all...

i  the style too! and cyrinda had a great sense of style.
i feel so sad when i think about her death. she was so young:cry:

everyone can write fake affairs in whodatedwho, right? they were always competing, so it's impossible they had something.

and you're very welcome, nicovelvet!

Most of The Doors' fans can't stand Patricia Kennealy, so that says all. She has always told a buch of lies about her relationship with Jim Morrison.

Here is the official Patricia Kennealy page on MySpace:

It is true that she is not very well liked among most Doors fans. In part because her regular trashing of Pamela Courson that, alas, does continue to this day.
She has a lot of detractors also because of her taking the name (legally) of Morrison and still claiming that her pagan wedding to him makes her his wife and only true love. Patricia is accused of being a "delusional" and "bitter woman" especially after she wrote her book: "Strange Days: My Life with & Without Jim Morrison". She is, in fact very harsh towards Doors/Jim fans and Pamela Courson. Not very elegant.

It wasn't based entirely on Bebe. Just some of it and by 1973 Pamela was not seeing Jimmy Page. He was sort of dating Lori when Jimmy hooked up with Bebe in Los Angels. She was then his official date for the Swan Song party at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Jimmy sort of dumped his LA posse to be with Bebe so it is understandable why she gets dissed so violently by some.

Stillwater was based on several bands and a few different front men/guitar players. It was also reflective of The Eagles, Bad Company, Todd Rundgren- a bit of Zep. Like Penny Lane it was a few different inspirations.

All this info is easy to find if you take a minute to look. Thats what I did. I hate seeing mean stuff written about my favorite rock chicks when it isn't true.

The dead giveaway with the Penny Lane character is her opening line "We are NOT groupies!" Bebe is the only one that ever says that, lololol!
The rest of them say they were. :flower:

All the girls from that time were beautiful and had something different to offer. But girls like Catherine James, D'Arbanville, Bebe... they were working models who earned their own money and had their own fame. Bebe was even a Playboy Centerfold (Miss Nov. 1974) way before it was fashionable to be a Playmate who dated a rock star. Todd Rundgren is even in her layout. That was a first! They were not the hallway girls who sat outside Jimmy Page's door hoping to be let in, they were invited. In some cases BEGGED, lololol!!

i understand your point. did you already read pam's book? because in 1973, she was with jimmy. actually, jimmy left pam to date lori and left lori to date bebe.
pam and jimmy had an on and off date between 1968 until 1973.

anyway, very interesting your posts.

but i prefer to not say my opinion about bebe, because i'm not her fan at all, probably i'd say rude things.

Oh yes, I did read Pam's book and Bebe's. Bebe hooked up with him in late 1974- well, the summer (June) and visited London in the Fall of 1974. Her Playboy Centerfold came out Nov. 1974 so it was right before that.
So perhaps in 1973 Pam was still involved with Jimmy. Then Lori.

I can't say anything bad about Bebe because I don't know her. I am not a fan of anyone. I do admire those women from that time though. I think Bebe gets a ton of lies said about her. That to me is obvious. But I'm not trying to force anyone to be her fan. I am just trying to tell what I've seen or read.

I like to look at photos of all of them. :woot:

there's a lot of lies because no one was there to know if was true, right? like the affair between bebe and cyrinda. this is the biggest lie i've heard about them.

oh yeah!! the photos are the best part right?

Pamela was far prettier than Bebe was, in my opinion.

I don't like the term "groupie" either, but that's what I feel Bebe was. She was no Anita Pallenberg.

^i think the same about pam and bebe.
bebe is beautiful, of course, but i think her beauty is a bit boring.

Was Bebe ever involved with Elvis Costello? I think I read something about that in Please Kill Me.

^they dated for a while. but didn't last longer, for what i've read.

very little, but you can see them together. i think its from 1978.
