Rodarte F/W 2019.20 Los Angeles

This is beyond Kitsch....Like a 80´s prom dresses nightmare.
People will praise this because it’s Rodarte when in fact, this is Siriano worthy.

The last dresses look like Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino rejects. Further than that, there are a lot of misses (A LOT), but there are some pieces that are fine. I don't have the patience to go back through and tell you which ones, though. Moving on.

Yikes! 80s Kitschy overload. In a world where Michele's Gucci dominating the industry with this kind of offering, I can't believe the sisters would think there's a necessity for this collection. Even from a creative perspective. They've not added anything to this.

I can’t believe these two were showing such beautiful clothes until 2010. Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst used to kill on their dresses.

The branded belts  These girls are lost, Jeremy Scott would have this executed in a better way.

I like the green gown in the end tho (sorry).

In their beginnings they were inspired from horror movies by Dario Argento. Now it seems they have chosen to turn a whole collection into one (and one worthy of a big "B" on the cover).

I was going to post the following in the "Outfit look-alikes" thread; but I think it is better to post it here:

This is literally Teletubbies running amok in a Valentino couture show...spot the differences!!

I genuinely wonder what happened to them. I know it's been like SEVEN years since i actually liked a collection of theirs, and more since i loved one, but this is just embarrassing (and has been so for a few seasons).

"Siriano worthy" cracked me up! Do you think he's that bad? I don't have an opinion on him, I think I've never seen any show from him.

I think he is bad but I applaud the success story and his commitment to inclusivity in terms of body shapes (even if I don’t think putting a plus size model in a tight sheer leopard dress is flattering).

He is like a mix between Giambattista Valli & Alexis Mabille. It’s always too much, with some questionable fabric choices with a clear lack of vision.

These dresses were modern 3 decades ago. And it’s not by adding glossy boots that a look is going to be edgy..

Another monstruous collection that looks like Joan Collins 80's wardrobe was donated to some mental ward and used as craft material for their occupational therapy. Only Olivier has damaged my eye-sight to this degree, at least the color palette at his HC show was less grating.

You're totally spot on in saying this is very 2009, it reminds me particularly of Marc Jacobs eclectic bag-lady-who-lunches-at-danceteria Louis days...goes without saying the execution was never as sloppy as anything in here.
