Meet: Model Romee Strijd
Today it’s time for another post where we want you to meet someone. She’s one of the most upcoming and famous models in the Netherlands! Her face is incredibly beautiful, as well on pictures as in real life. I’m talking about the girl named Romee Strijd and if you don’t know her, shame on you ha-ha!
I’ve worked with Romee a several times and we did a shoot in Austria for the CosmoGIRL! together, that was real fun. We had the best time and we’ve laughed the whole 5 day trip! There were so many pictures published in the CosmoGIRL! Below you can get an impression of that shoot.

How did your modeling carreer started?
One day I was just shopping with my mom in the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam and all of the sudden I got asked if I wanted to become a model. At that time I was 13 years old, so I said no because I was too young to seriously consider this. After a while I got more interested in modeling. Together with my mom I went to Wilma Wakker Models for a cup of tea to discuss everything. With that meeting it felt like we knew each other for years already, so cool!
Modeling is your fulltime carreer right now. Do you like doing this every day?
Yes that’s right, fulltime is so different then how I did it before. First I combined modeling with school, so I was so often in the Netherlands and now I’m staying most of my time in New York. Even though I’m not in the Netherlands that often anymore, I do have my own place in New York now. That was something I didn’t have when I worked as a part time model. Then I was kind of living out of my suitcase, so right now this really calms me down!
Which town do you like the most to work or live in?
That’s New York for sure, you can find and do everything over there! Think of cool spots to eat something, going out in the evening, they have really good stores to shop. I love doing all these things and being able to do this in a town like New York is amazing!
How would you describe your style?
My style, good question… I think my style is quite casual but also a bit sporty. There is nothing I love more than a good pair of jeans!
What is your biggest dream when it comes to your modeling carreer?
I don’t really have one big dream but there are more things that I would love to do once as a model. Think of items like a campagne for a parfume or a show for Victoria Secret of course.
Who is your favorite designer and why?
My favorite designer is Isabel Marant, since the beginning of my modeling carreer. I love her sporty and cool clothing, because I’m not really the kind of girly girl!
Last question, what is your beautytip?
My best tip is to sleep as much as possible and move or work out often, make sure your mind and body is fit! Besides that the daycream I use is from Embryolisee and I’m in love with the Rosebud salves, these are both must haves for your skin as well!
