Lately, I noticed t-shirts by Romeo & Juliet at Saks, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. I really like the designs/graphics on the t-shirts, but have never heard of Romeo & Juliet. Is anyone familiar with this designer/brand? If so, would you please shed some light on it?

The word couture just means sewing. On the other hand, haute couture, "high sewing", has a particular meaning and can't be used without the permission of certain French industry authorities. So anyone is allowed to use the word couture in their label, and it's totally correct as long as the textiles haven't been stapled together
