Rooney Mara

True, her looks have started to get a bit samey, but that's because her style is decidedly minimalist and her colour palette monochrome - there's only so much variation that can be made. Its very distinctive. It suits her to a tee, and I absolutely love it.

I also like that she doesn't grin inanely at all of these events. I remember reading an interview when she said she feels so disingenuous faking a smile for photographs. It isn't as though she glowers at the camera - she poses politely and pleasantly and, I think, it very much makes a difference when she does smile.

I'm always interested when I see movement on her thread. One to watch, for me, definitely.

I don't mind that her looks are 'samey', but they sure have been really disappointing lately. Her last 'great' outfit was the Vera Wang in Cannes; that's quite a long time ago, especially for someone who used to deliver outfit after outfit. She always seems to look sloppy in Calvin Klein.

WOW quite surprised to see her in such a sexy dress at the CK after-party but I think she pulls it off. And I just loved what she wore to show, once again she stood out IMO.

I could not be any less excited for Trash as I really dislike Stephen Daldry. He's so overrated.

I don't know why but I prefer the first two images as she looks incredibly natural and comfortable.

Just came from seeing Ain't Them Bodies Saints, and it was magical. Every shot was beautiful, and she looked her most beautiful in it. Also, great performance from her. I've never been much impressed by her acting wise, but I'm beginning to see it. I thought she was so stiff in GWTDT, but her latest performances in Side Effects and now this are making me change my mind about her.

“Rooney was fantastic. Like Madonna, Amanda Seyfried, Beyoncé and Carine Roitfeld, I have a real relationship with Rooney. She is superintelligent, superelegant, supercool. She is not a girl who easily gives a smile and talks to everybody. I have already worked with Rooney for three years and I know what she loves. She’s like me. She really represents my style. She loves the romantic side of me, and she loves the hard side of me. For last night, I said, ‘Rooney, we should really push more to be sexy, because you have the face and the body to be sexy,’ and she said, ‘You know what, we should go for it.’ For me, the punk moment was the cleavage — a very big, open V-neck dress. She was very punk in her own way. It was funny. On the red carpet, everyone photographed us as bride and groom. It was very cool.”
