Rooney Mara

i don't think it's a wig, they look like bad hair extensions to me

what is she wearing? it looks too big on her, a la olsen twins

Well I might be a minority but I still find her utterly beautiful. Maybe she's not insanely captivating and less other-wordly than with her black hair but still. Also I respect a lot her involvement for her roles, she's proving how versatile she can be and I can't wait to see her acting for this part.
Only bad point here is her latest look, doesn't worh. It looks way too big for her also her posture doesn't help it. Also first time I feel the abscence of accessory.

^versatile? really?
when did she prove she is a versatile actress? She did a good job in TGWTDT, but she has to do lot and have a wide range of different roles to prove she is a great and versatile actress. I'm not saying she will not achieve that, I'm just saying she still has a long path to prove it

Well from The Nightmare of Elm street to TGWTDT passing by the Social Network I think she already showed a really great potential compared to some other starlets. :flower::flower:
We all know, Blake Lively was originally casted for this film, and I love her, but honestly just looking at those candids pictures of Rooney from the set I know she will offer much more depth and versatility in her performance than Blake. Why ?? Because we've only seen a couple of pictures of her walking in the streets in a beige trench and everybody couldn't recognize the girl who was still our new Lisbeth Salander just a few mont ago. TGWTDT clearly defined her until we saw these pictures. Now as I said I need to see her acting to judge completely.

She looks so much better with lighter and longer hair! I'm really liking her hair now

I agree with you, she looked so much older with dark hair, it was really unflattering color for her and now she looks fresh and young :)

I'm still a fan of the black hair AND the blunt bangs - I think they made a great frame for her striking features. Can't wait til she dyes it back :). That being said, the current look isn't all that bad on her; looking at that picture with her and the cast from what i presume was Nightmare on Elm Street, I can see that she just needs to keep her eyebrows as they are now. A set of fuller eyebrows does more to enhance her face than any hair color would

The lighter hair makes her look pretty but in a conventional way, there are tons of pretty girls in HW. The black hair on the other hand makes her look sofisticated and interesting, imo.

Yeah, I don't think it's the color so much as it's the rattiness of the extensions. I feel like she's had a color close to that in some of her earlier movies--maybe Winning Season, and it didn't look at all this bad. Anyway, I still prefer her to stick to chestnut or black. Those are her best colors. That last look though overwhelms her. Not good at all.

this style wouldn't look so bad if it were all the same dark brown color
that ombre look is just bad

I think she looks great. Ratty extensions sure, but the color and cut is nice. She's such a chameleon.

she just seems so meek all the time. i can't tell whether it's her 'image' or she is just painfully shy and lacking in self-confidence. i think she would do the amazing clothes she gets to wear a lot more justice if she was more confident in them. just my opinion..

On the set of "The Bitter Pill" (April 17).
