Finally, fans of Stieg Larsson's novels that started with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and hit the big screen courtesy of The Social Network director David Fincher, might be pleased to hear that Columbia has decided to move forward with the sequel, The Girl Who Played with Fire. Belgrad apparently said they're "pushing ahead" with the sequel, but it's not clear if Fincher is returning to direct. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are already slated to return, and a script from Steve Zailian is already complete (along with a screenplay for the third installment, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest). The film wasn't a runaway hit at the box office, but apparently it found a big enough audience to warrant the sequel. Stay tuned for more on these sequels and other projects as updates become available.

I wonder when will they start filming, because she has 4 movies scheduled for late-2012/2013.

^She's already filmed the Spike Jonze film and she's filming Ain't Them Bodies Saints at the moment. She'll be filming Lawless in a few months time, so that just leaves Brooklyn. I'm thinking they'll be shooting mid (or even later) 2013 for a 2014 release.

Lawless hasn't even started. They did some pre-production work and shot some footage at a bunch of music festivals while they could. Malick is shooting Knight of Cups at the moment (or was recently). Lawless (or untitled Terrence Malick project at the moment) is shooting in the fall/autumn.

I'm so happy they're making The Girl Who Played With Fire, Lisbeth's arc is amazing in it.
Really happy for Rooney as well.
Now I only wish we'd get some new candids, I miss my girl.
