ooh, found this on her:

"A driver, with the exact same name as Vogue’s editor, Yelena Stanislavovna Doletskaya, with the same known address as of the Vogue Editor, was convicted and given a three-year prison sentence for causing the death of a woman in a driving incident under the Russian criminal code. The sentence was suspended and the leniency was attributed to her having no previous convictions, and on the basis that her alma mater, Moscow State University, assumed responsibility for her reform and correction."

other scandalous stuff from her past:

...stealing her ex boyfriend's apartment and owing him $57,000 in credit card charges
- via atlaw

..and allegedly another death of an ex-husband, former russian ambassador to botswana
-via cdi

...dismissed from DeBeers, without recommendations
-via russianjournal

that's some past (allegedly) she's rumoured to take over anna, right? if anyone is able to take anna down, someone with her past might make anna shake in her boots..

This was all posted in her thread in december #97

Is it really fair to say she has 2 murders in her past as the thread title reads? The road death wasn't really murder - isn't that manslaughter? And there is no other case where she was convicted of killing someone.

How old is Aliona? If she's around 40-50 years old, then she will have accumulated a lifetime of personal history - some good, some bad. She will also have experienced the passing of all sorts of people in her life; the older you get, the greater the chance that your partner may die, quite naturally. Besides, a former Russian ambassador in Africa will have more dangerous people 'out to get him' than his wife.

Dismissed from DeBeers... well, diamond firms are the ones who need scrutiny, not people who escape working for them. You could get dismissed without a reference for standing up for what's right, as easily as you could for fraud etc.

If we were talking about a 30-year-old who had achieved all of the above, it might look more suspicious, having occured in a smaller timeframe, but for someone older, this sounds more like 'a life lived with some misfortune'. Who knows how much of it she brought on herself - can we say?

I totally agree with you :flower::flower::flower:

She was at a DeBeers event in summer 2007 #89 so whatever went on resulting in her dismissal appears to have been dealt with and forgotten.
