We worked with photographer Ryan Barrett on a Versace Special, (He has fronted the Versace Campaign with Gisele) We interviewed him after his shoot with Hungertv to ask him how it went and what he has planned for the future:

Hunger: How was the shoot for hungertv?
Ryan: The shoot went really well, we had a slow start, but it was worth the wait. The hair & make up team were amazing, along with great styling. Working with such a great team made it all so much easier to shoot.One of my favourite shots of the day, which was towards the end was the single close up shot of Patrycja next to the washing machine drum. The lighting worked well with the great composition of the shot.
Do you have a favourite clothing piece from the shoot?
One of the most striking pieces for me was worn by Josh the golden classic Medusa necklace, with the bold Versace Gekka sides, such a statement piece and very Versace I also loved all the colourful vintage Versace shirts as they added some great contrast to the amazing SS13 pieces.
Versace lent pieces for the shoot, do you prefer their vintage or their new pieces?
Well, after working closely with Versace I can say that I love the current collection – I feel a lot of the new collection is inspired and based around a lot of the vintage pieces. David Bradshaw as brought back the Gieorney dropped shoulder in some of the coats and jackets, along side some classic double breasted suits- also vintage Versace is always a winner, you cant beat it
You got your own campaign, Versace man. Do you feel like men are getting a bigger profile in the industry?
I think there are more male models every day and the reason for this is there is more a demand for male products. Men are more aware now about there appearance and take greater care over what they wear and choose, there are also a wide range of male grooming products that also need advertising. So I think the male model industry is vastly growing as long as there is a market for it. I think it is a lot harder for male models to be more recognized and branded like female models, but I think David Gandy is doing a very good job at being one of the top male supermodels and branding is identity.
You love photography, and have a degree in fine art, what else have you got planned for the future?
I also work with Textile design in between work something will be popping up there very soon, bring on 2013!
Who is inspires you in the photography & art world?
One of my all time favorites is Tim Walker, I love all the sets and props that he uses and makes in his photography, their just breath taking. But I tend to research a lot of new talent and keep up with the newest creative processes. I am a member of a few contemporary art galleries, Tate modern being one of my favorite places in London along side the Moma in New York, its just finding the time to fit everything in.
