Sabyasachi S/S 08

I absolutely love this rich, comfy collection except for one little aspect - the symbolism (cross, hammer/sicle).

i cant say how much i love these colours and fabrics...
they are so so so gorgeous and rich....
magnificent....

i just wish the shapes here were different...
it could be SO good....
i'm just left wishing the clothes were actually different- because the colours and textures and fabrics are so AMAZING...

I loved his last spring collection and I love this one. I can't find any stockists in the US besides Tracey Ross. I'm not even sure she carries it anymore.

This is extremely beautiful. I agree with a lot of what's been said re: the colors and fabrics but also the shapelessness of it all.

It's interesting to see both the peasant influence, but also, what appears to me as this sort of outdoors-y influence. I'm not just talking about the choice of hiking shoes, but also in the lightweight and loose, cool fabrics, the occasional techno fabric, the natural colors, the parka references. These look like clothes for the woman constantly travelling and enjoying nature.

let's see crosses (religion) versus sickle-hammer (soviet, communist symbol of anti-religion)
nice colors too!
